We are visiting Boulder and this is a very upscale restaurant right in town. We are able to walk to the restaurant from our downtown hotel. I loved the room and the service was impeccable (5 stars on that) However, the food was good but not 5 star. They are partially prix fix on the menu with a choice of many courses or a 4 course choice. We were told that we should all order the same in terms of which prix fix menu because of pacing. So, we all got the 4 course deal for $125 ea. I’ll comment on the photos of the items I tasted. Overall the presentation was exquisite and the portions small so we weren’t too stuffed. Flavor wise it seemed that the balance was a little off on some of the menu items. See my photos for more info on each dish. With cocktails and apps we spent $1300 for 4 ppl so pricey…which I’m willing to pay if food is 5 star.
This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The entire team was very warm and engaging, the space was beautiful, and the food was amazing. And the wine!!! So impressed with the wine list and the suggested pairings. We were celebrating a special occasion and everyone went above and beyond. We had a blast and will definitely be back - thank you to everyone at Frasca!
The prices are high, yes, but the food was excellent and the service wonderful. We did the 6 course with wine pairing, and our total bill ended up around $600. This was a last minute reservation and we were surprised by how thoughtful the preparation was for our anniversary celebration. They even had ‘happy anniversary’ printed on the menu, and a special dessert at the end. There was one dish that I didn’t absolutely love, and I had no complaints about it, but they brought me out an alternative dish without me even requesting it. All the food was lovely and I’d recommend the chef tasting menu with wine pairings.
Amazing food, amazing service, and a stellar atmosphere.Every dish we had was Michelin star quality. The lamb was easily the best I've ever had, tender and cooked to perfection. Additionally, the chefs sent out some dishes to try that weren't even listed on the menu which was beyond a pleasant surprise. The menu may seem a bit pricey but the quality of ingredients and presentation of each dish reflects that. You can tell a lot of passion and care went into each dish sent out.Front of House staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, I'd definitely recommend this place to any friends or family who visit Boulder and would like to have a culinary experience they'll remember fondly for years.
It should be a 3-Michelin-Star restaurant. If the undercover agents of Michelin guide are listening, then do put this restaurant on your review list. What an amazing service, such an attentive staff. I never had to ask for refilling my glass of water. Somebody was already taking care of it even before it was empty. Same for wine and drinks. I am blown away by the service. In our group of 8, one of my colleagues left his main course uneaten and they took off all of his charges (drinks included) from our bill. This speaks volumes about how much they care for their guests. At this point, do I even need to mention that food is tasty. That is a given. As a vegetarian, I had limited options, but still I wanted to lick my plate clean; decency refrained me from doing so.Amazing selection of wines and cocktails. What a fun evening it became all thanks to the gracious hosts and managers of this restaurant.
We love Frasca but haven't been in a while largely due to the pandemic. We went in last week for our 10th anniversary and it did not disappoint. Truly a magnificent experience, as always. Our server Christine was the perfect amount of 5-star service and relatability which made the evening even more special. The food was spectacular and I'm not a dessert person...unless it's a Frasca dessert. Everything was delicious and perfect! Thank you!
Don’t go here if you have any food allergies or sensitivities. They are not friendly about accommodating. My waiter shamed me and argued with me about it, without even taking the time to explain the menu or what the kitchen could reasonably accommodate.I have been to many high end restaurants with chef’s tasting menus or prefix menus who are more than happy to serve their guests delicious food that they are able to eat, but not this one.
We had heard RAVE reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. The food was very sub par for the price. We got the coursed meal which consisted of a few fish dishes, a few meat dishes, some bread and a dessert. The fish was very fishy, there was not enough meat on the 1st dish to rate it and the "main course" which was the some type of wild game, was cold. I was looking forward to the dessert at the end, but it tasted like flowers and was not paired well with whatever was on the plate. The atmosphere was very open and there was no music playing. There was also no ambiance lighting. The service was the only thing I would say was amazing.
My husband and I recently visited Frasca on Saturday night to try this highly praised establishment. We both ordered the 4 course dinner with some add ons (~$150/ person with the upgrades). Our total bill with food and drinks was 400.Overall the food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our only minor comment for the chef would be to add finishing salt to brighten the flavors of the first course (lobster & crudo dishes). The atmosphere however was a different story and the reason for our lower overall rating. The server that took our food order was cold and unwelcoming (we did not get his name). The next server, Victor, was absolutely amazing - very friendly and attentive. When the waiter took our food orders my husband mentioned a gluten sensitivity and then requested to order the salmon. The salmon comes with farro (which we missed). The waiter essentially told us to swap main courses because of this. This was a bit frustrating to not have any alternatives presented. He also asked my husband if he wanted a beverage but never returned to take his drink order. So we placed that drink order with Victor.Since we seemed to have 2 servers it was a bit confusing. But I bring this up to point out the unwelcoming demeanor of the gentleman who took our food order when we saw him acting more friendly with other tables. He seemed much more interested in the tables with larger groups (or maybe those ordering the more expensive 6 course menu).Lastly the overall vibe felt really stuffy and the managers (I think there were two on duty) never stopped by to ask how our meal was. The male manager walked by our table a few times but again never stopped to check in. The female manager was very friendly when we left and offered to put my coat on.So overall the front of house team was very hit or miss. We want to thank and commend Victor - he absolutely needs a raise!!!Unfortunately we’ll not be returning due to the atmosphere of this restaurant.
Literally best dinner I’ve ever had. Special. Sweet. Lovely. Everything was beyond perfect. Atmosphere 100%. Service amazing. Food gorgeous and delicious. Wine, well go see for yourself.
