My friend from out of town wanted scallops, you did not disappoint. My teriyaki sirloin was fabulous too. Thank you

Having travelled all over the World where you never eat any meat that is not fully cooked, Franks Chophouse seems to have a problem with "Well Done". When we ordered, even the Waiter grinned at the thought of asking the Prima Donna chef to cook a steak well done. As the Waiter anticipated, the Steaks came out seared on the outside and red on the inside.

My husband had rave reviews for Frank Day restaurants. Given the location of Frank's Chop house we geared up for an exceptional experience. Our first and last visit was for happy hour. Let's review in descending order. I was excited walking in, big bar, lots of seating, for lots of people-always a good sign, all decor appears luxurious and comfortable. The wait staff were a little too attentive but ok. Beer - Ice cold! My cocktail was perfect. Started with oysters, very tasty but overpriced. Fried calamari, too much breading, tasted old, but what could I expect when I've had calamari in Monterey & San Fran, CA. The muscles in butter/wine broth were delightful, but I can make the broth better at home. The wedge salad was the best but not served on a chilled plate and not worth returning for. The experience was not great. There are plenty of other locals to try.

Great place! Good food!

It was our first visit since the name change. While some things on the menu have changed, everything was still excellent. The tap beer list was a bit small, but I still found a nice one. Steak was fantastic. Sides were also quite good. The key lime pie was among the best I've had outside of Florida. Staff was excellent, friendly and service was quick.

Food delicious and service excellent. I like my steak well done, so I sent it back. One of the chefs brought it back out and waited for me to cut into it before he left.

Happy hour was very good. We had reserved an outdoor table but due to rain they were able to seat us inside near a window, which we appreciated. Our server did a great job.

The new happy hour menu is outstanding. Love the outdoor seating

We went for my birthday & it couldn’t have been any better. Bartender was friendly and took good care of us.

I’ve been eating in this restaurant since it was J.J. McCabes and let me say that I really want to like it here. It’s close to home and in the winter the underground parking across the street is huge! The original Chophouse was an excellent restaurant with a top notch menu. They had nightly chef specials with ethically raised local sustainable meats and the rest of the menu was high quality and delicious. I have been back several times since they’re post-pandemic reopening, including on opening night. I really want to like it there again! But sadly, it’s nothing like it used to be. The happy hour calamari was the surprise highlight of the meal! It was cooked perfectly and the chili sauce was delicious. After that things went a bit downhill. I ordered the Ribeye. First the positive. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. (Med rare Pittsburgh). And Pittsburgh is very hard to do on a steak that’s barely 1/2” thick. But before I ever saw the thinness of the steak, I was startled by the server, not the one who had taken my order, drop the steak off. I met his eyes and said “thanks”. He responded with “no problem” and took off. Never asked me if I needed anything else or said another word. It felt strange in a restaurant that should be of a higher quality. On the bright side, the woman who actually was my server was excellent and apologized for her coworkers lack of manners. The cut of the steak was a real turn-off. I remember what their steaks used to look like and this one paled in comparison. I’m not sure I’ll be ordering steaks there anytime soon. But I’d definitely go back for the calamari and maybe some prime rib sliders, which are also on the Happy Hour menu and sound delicious!
