Some of the best Thai food I've had in the Denver/Boulder area. Drunken noodles are amazing and the veggie soup is packed with flavor, ingredients were super fresh too. Definitely coming back the next time im in Boulder
Favorite Thai place in Boulder! The tofu spring rolls are amazing and fresh, price is great, quality ingredients and classic recipes! Highly recommend.
Location was a bit difficult to find as there was a ramp that looked like a private entrance from the parking lot, but the food definitely made up for it! It’s a self-seating kind of deal — order at the counter and take a seat wherever, then bus your own table at the end. Food was delicious and authentic! I’d recommend the pad see ew or pad Thai, also really loved their iced Thai green tea.
Good curries. I love doing pickup from this restaurant. Panang curry and the pad se ew are my two favorites. Great for a quick bite to eat.
Boulder is not well known for Thai food, this is probably the best balance of taste, price, portion size and is centrally located with okay parking (don’t get me wrong, we like the food, just hasn’t knocked our socks off compared to Thai elsewhere). If you go on a busy night and get easily angered by exceptionally able bodied CU undergrads parking in handicap spaces illegally, take a deep breath and know that you’ve been warned!
Great, authentic Thai food. Papaya Salad and Massaman Curry were delicious! Focus is where it should be, on the food and not on fancy design. Very friendly staff.
The food is SUPERB, and the owners are dedicated to their customers. For example, I had a minor issue with my order, and I respectfully brought it to the restaurant's attention via a comment while placing another order the next day. (Yes, I ordered twice in a row. I love this place.) The owners were genuinely concerned, went out of their way to fix the issue, and were sincere in explaining the circumstances. I was touched by their concern for customer satisfaction and the quality of their business's reputation. These are good people—this restaurant is family owned—and I cannot recommend Folsom Thai enough. If you're going to give someone your lunch money, give it here instead of some national franchise.
Fair at best. As a previous reviewer said, the wait time is incorrect, which is fine as it is a business. However, when I asked the person how long it would take, he said 5-10 mins, which then turned into 30. I don’t mind that it took that it took that long, but I don’t like clearly being lied to.That, and the food was fair at best. Not worth the time and money.
Maybe the food is good because I saw lots of take out but the place is a dive. Looks like an old basement. Zero ambience. Didn’t even end up eating there because almost everything was made with fish sauce. Not sure if Boulder has good Thai
I have always loved Folsom Thai, and I’ve been eating here regularly since shortly after they opened. Uber eats recently told me I’m in the top 5% of their customers. In the last about year and a half, I’ve come to be disappointed in their consistency. I honestly used to order from them about once or twice a week but have scaled down to once or twice a month because I haven’t felt like the spice levels can be figured out. The mild pad see ew would be spicier one week than the medium pad see ew would be another week. I would get the medium, feel it was much spicier than I wanted, try the mild next and feel that it lacked any spice, try the medium again and it didn’t have enough spice either, try it again a few weeks later and it had good heat, try the mild another day and it would be uncomfortably spicy. This has been the case for every dish I order from them, several noodle dishes, several rice dishes, the ramens, and the hainan chicken. I order way less now because I’m never sure if it will be uncomfortably hot or underwhelmingly spiced, but I do still order because they have the best crab cream cheese wontons I’ve had in my life and I could pop them into my mouth all day. At its best, their food is fresh and delicious, it’s always well priced and the staff is very nice. I don’t mind a heat scale that leans on the spicy side, I just need it to be consistent, as it used to be. If they fixed that, I would gladly go back to living off of their food.
