Great little spot in Boulder with friendly staff and good options for everyone. My main choices are the combination fried rice, spring rolls, and the fried pork dumplings, all which have been well made each order. My friends enjoyed the wonton soup as well, it does do wonders on a chiller day. Normally they have everything ready within 15-20 minutes, which is awesome considering the quality. Easy to get to, easy to order, great food!
I was super hungry and needed a quick lunch. ordered over the phone shortly after they opened and my order was ready in probably 5 minutes. i ordered the lunch sesame chicken with egg drop soup, spring roll, and white rice. The chicken was not good. stringy, hard to chew pieces of meat in a watery sauce that just tasted like garlic flavored water. the rice was very good! the egg drop soup was okay, but had lots of tomato seeds from the tomatoes in the soup they use, even tho there was hardly any in mine, just lots of seeds. overall the soup’s taste was good! just texturely unappealing. the spring roll was soggy and mushy on the inside. disappointed as many people i know love this place
Avoid!!! How can food be greasy and flavorless and watery all at the same time? Are they trying to kill their customers? My stomache became extremely inflamed- is their oil rancid? They used to be the best in town.
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE.Called to ask the status of my order over an hour after I placed it online. Was first told they didn't receive my order. When I explained they took my money from my account just fine they found my order. It had left 30 mins previously. After 1 hour and 20 minutes I called to find out where it is. I was told it's "almost to your house." It's been an hour and a half and I have 3 hungry teenagers. I can only assume they are going to eat me before I can finish this review. The food is awesome but I'd go pick it up if you're hungry and want warm food.
I was so disappointed in the meals that I ordered last night. I have ordered from Five Spice so many times, I usually love the food, but last night’s dinner was good at all. First, the hot mustard was watered down, it tasted awful. Second the chicken Lo Mein wasn’t seasoned well, it wasn’t made the correct noodles ( so my guest) was disappointed. My dish the Sweet and Sour chicken is normally out of this world, the chicken pieces were hard and over cooked. Again I can’t express how disappointed I was. What happened did y’all have a different cook cooking ??
One of the best restaurants in Boulder, and a great place for authentic dishes. They were so able to make some dishes vegan, including the mapo tofu!
I ordered on line at Five Spice on the menu. When my order was delivered I noticed they had charged different pricing than the On Line Menu. I called them to correct the issue and they did nothing. They told me they changed the menu, yet the menu on line had pricing. The food was also average. Nothing great. I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not go back. What they did is very deceptive and out of integrity. and when you approach them they do nothing.
Very prompt service for take out. Food was great, as always
My family and I really like this place. My mom is usually quite picky with Chinese restaurants but thinks the beef brisket and potato is extremely good. Another favorite of ours is the mouthwatering chicken!
The best Chinese food in Denver/Boulder area. They have awesome service as well. It was a very satisfying experience overall. I Highly recommend this Chinese restaurant.
