Best cup of coffee I have ever had and it isn't close. Also, the man who owns the place is an absolute treasure. He is skilled at his craft and he is at peace in his work. He will likely try to give you a free falafel ball if you haven't been there before and he will probably remember you if you have been there before. Aside from the incredible atmosphere (and of course coffee), the food is perfect. Have come again, and will continue to do so.
Boulder staple on Pearl Street Mall. Loved the food here for years. My order is falafel plate with Greek sides. The falafel is very good and I really like the marinated eggplant. They have good options if you lean toward a vegetarian meal. Will be back soon.
How have I never reviewed this place? I’ve been coming here since 2005. To say I love it would be an understatement. In the nearly 20 years (wow, I’m old) that I’ve been eating here the A++++ quality of food and service has never wavered. In my humble opinion it’s one of those you can never go wrong places. I look forward to another 20 years of gyros, falafels, and fries!! ??
Falafel King is lovely! We got to sample all the mains with the owner who was very sweet! Unbelievable falafel, super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Highly recommend!
Everything about the sandwich was completely ill prepared. I grew up eating here at least twice a week through high school and college and I get back to visit very seldomly now. Place an order today and all of my hummus and feta cheese was packed into one corner and the Falafel balls we're very overcooked. They also completely forgot the tahini which made my sandwich incredibly dry on top of the fact that they've changed from using real pitas to some strange really thick ultra dry desert bread that tastes horrible. Service was very friendly and the owner was actually working that day and is a very friendly person. I'm going to stop in and talk with him cuz I would like to see them succeed.
Had a nice vegan lunch. The nice guy behind the counter asked if I wanted Feta rather than dumping it on. The older gent who may be the owner brought out little bowls of veggie lentil soup for the diners. What a treat. Service is prompt and friendly. Clean.
Food: We ordered falafel pita wrap with hummus. The veggies and pico was fresh. I really liked the taste of the wrap.Service: Service was quick and they made the wrap in just 5 mins.Ambience: It's a little place on the 16th Street. First time here was in 1978, and I still love it! We had the falafel sandwiches. The pita was thicker than I remembered the last time I was here but, that only helped the sandwiches stay together better. I highly recommend this Boulder landmark whenever you're downtown.
So many great things about this place! The food is consistently delicious. The newest addition to the menu, the pocket, is exceptional! The pita bread is unique and the falafel‘s are beyond delicious! The meals are always accompanied by a friendly staff and a cozy and upbeat environment. Highly recommended! ?????
Quick lunch stop! Love their falafels! They often will give out free samples so be on the lookout for that. Some outdoor seating but you're better off taking it out and sitting in the park. Spicy sauce is tasty but can be a bit much for some so be on the lookout for that.
