Nick was our server, and he was exceptional! The food was fabulous, as always, but Nick's service made it the best ever experience. I believe Carelli's makes their own Pappardelle pasta, and it is extraordinary Carelli's is my fave Boulder restaurant -- either for dining with my sweetheart or for taking friends/clients from out of town. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were in the back room so conversation levels were normal. Carelliâs does a good job and is one of our favorites in Boulder.
Showed up to the restaurant after looking on open table to see there were plenty of open tables. The host stated there was no open tables even though thr restaurant was empty, so I went and reserved the table on open table and she treated us incredibly poorly. Called the manager over to approve us getting a table and then proceeded to go drop our menus on the table with little to no interaction / engagement. The food was decent and the server was great.
Anniversary
We went on a double date w friends. Great waiter. Nice ambiance. The food wasnât my thing. My meal seemed like an Asian noodle bowl - which wasnât what I was expecting. Maybe I didnât order the right thing.

One of the best things about Carelli's is how reliably great it is. From visit to visit the excellent and considerate service, quality of the meal, and overall "feeling" of the dining room doesn't change. Clearly Greg Carelli knows what works - and doesn't make the mistake that many restauranteurs do by trying 'nouvous' menus or chasing the latest trend. A go-to place to take friends visiting from out of town, for date night, or just to get fresh, perfectly cooked Italian dishes for no special reason at all. My only wish is that they were open for lunch again.
It has been a while since we ate here but always enjoyed it. We brought friends here for his birthday dinner and they loved it! We will be back soon. Highly recommend!!
Carelli's in one of the best Italian restaurants in the Denver Metro area. The food is exceptional and the ambiance is very upscale. It always feels like a special occasion when I go there!
The wait staff is quite good; experienced and knowledgable. My chicken saltimboco was delicious and generous. My husband liked the shrimp scampi, but wished for more than 4 shrimp. I was disappointed our anniversary, mentioned on the reservation, was not acknowledged, and that I was expected to handle the leftover dishes. More attention to these "niceties" were part of previous visits there.
