The only reason I rated this establishment so low is simply because the service was the absolute worst I have ever had in my life. Was sat without a menu for starters, which I had to wait almost 10 minutes for. Not even two minutes after I was asked for my order on a whim. Though it did not take the kitchen very long to compose my order (bravo): the tuna sandwich and Mac and cheese. Cooked to perfection. Though I wasn't given any silverware... I tried to flag down both service staff to no avail. Once I was finished with my sandwich I sat there for a good twenty minutes before my check was presented. What absolutely kills me deep inside is that it was not the least bit busy all the while the servers cuss and rant behind the bar. Paying little to no attention to their patrons.

I have had some great meals there but last one was so strange I must comment. I ordered the special last week which was a New York strip. I was served a very fat and gristly piece. The strange part was that I was given a very full knife and the steak was served in a bowl. I did not complain since my date was loving her meal, but I should have. I will try again soon but wanted to put this out there.

Hidden gem. My new go-to place. Tiny bar... All locals... Friendly staff and owners... Heavy pours... FANTASTIC FOOD. I almost want to delete this review so that no one knows about this place.

The risotto was excellent. I'd have preferred peas over mushrooms, but that is a personal preference. A lovely lunch!

Great for a Gunbarrel based restaurant. Very cozy atmosphere. Would highly suggest calling for a reservation. Place is small and good chance there won’t be room. Gnocchi is amazing, also probably the best burger in Gunbarrel.

Normally I appreciate this place but the quality of food has gone way down in the latest months.I was in there on Friday and overheard the bartender, who I think was the owner, take a phone call and ask guests at the bar who had already placed an order to leave preemptively so she could take a reservation for dinner. This is putting it very nicely, was actually said by the bartender, as to how she would rather have people eat food there is sort of confusing and short sighted, as everyone knows drinks make way more money for restaurants than entrees. Who's to say they wouldn't get an entree?*Extremely conclusionist and abrasive attitude*I noticed this group had already been asked to be reseated due to reservations, but neither the table nor the bar space had the typical triangular tags out. It's one thing to have reservations but until this place gets more organized and treats it's guests with some respect, I can't justify going back until these matters are addressed. Extremely inappropriate attitude and definitely not the environment I see myself in any further. There are plenty of other places to go spend my money, and what you did was the exact opposite of what it means to offer hospitality to people.Poor service, poor hospitality, poor organization, acceptable food, and 25% gratuity with a 30 minute wait while you learn that table after table is reserved, but, wait -- Surprise! They will wait until after you and your party have ordered drinks and learned all of the above to tell you there is no available seating and you will be *required* to leave.Unbelievable. I won't be back for fear of this happening to myself and I'm surprised the group kept themselves together. It's a shame because the burgers used to be pretty good, the hospitality was above average, and the service seemed organized, which are now a rosey-retrospective of a memory compared to my last visit.I guess if I save anyone 40 minutes of their life....If you didn't, "call ahead" don't waste your time being a walk-in guest. They don't seem to care about our business, I guess, myself included. Not sure why it was such a hostile, unprovoked encounter, but I just will go elsewhere from now on.

Love this place and basically everything on the menu. Very cozy and intimate with good value for your $$

I just went to Cafe Blue for the first time yesterday with a gal pal who'd already been, and wow, what a lovely little gem of a place. I'd never noticed it before in that particular plaza, and am so glad to have discovered it! The ambience is fantastic: very warm, cozy, and inviting and some really nice blues playing in the background on this particular afternoon. We went for lunch, and, while all I had was a bowl of french onion soup, it was really delicious and perfect on a chilly day. My friend shared her order of garlic bread, which was sizeable, and that was really delicious too.Our server was terrific and had her hands full, being the only one on the floor and at the bar, but she clearly was experienced and didn't seem at all fazed. The fact that it got busy on such an inclement day after the usual lunch hour was proof to me that this was a well-frequented eatery for good reason. This is also a perfect spot for a romantic meal, and I will definitely be back with my sweetie!

Great food!
