Had lunch there with my wife and 2 dogs on 7/30. Delightful location with ample free parking, great tap list and awesome food menu. I had one of the best Rubins in the west and shared a salad made up of fresh, local produce. Highly recommended!!!!
Very good pizza, Caesar salad and fried pickles!!! We had the Mt Hawaiian and subbed pepperoni. The large pizza could serve 4 if everyone wants 2 pieces! The large salad fed 3 but could feed 4 too. Sit in bar area as it has a good vibe.
Pizza was great! Beer selection was great! However, the building itself is quite tired. Lovely patio that just needs weeding, sweeping and general cleaning. Inside could use freshening also. Great family place but just wish it was cleaner.
Waited over 30 min for a server to come take my order or even ask what I wanted to drink. After watching people who where seated after me get there drinks then food I decided to call the location I was currently at to get my food to go since I was being ignored. I made my order over the phone finnaly and told them to deliver it to the back table. The place had 13 customers including my self so they where not super busy. My waiter finnaly came over and explained he thought I already got my food "pointing to the bag labeled Safeway holding bananas because I have a potassium deficiency that does bottom out" I didn't argue, fight or explain myself I just walked out. This is my first time in CO and this is the first pizza place I decided to visit. I do regret making this my first choice. Poor service and communication. I walked down the street to Brooklyn pizza. They took my order promptly.
Great beer selection. Loved that the pizza is not just great, they have some veggie meat options and quality spices too. Bartender was super nice and friendly chatting with us.
Pizza was amazing! They were friendly with my service dog, gave us a big enough table in a corner so he had room. Some of the best pizza I've ever had!
Service was really good and their wings were phenomenal! The only reason I can't give a 5 star was during the particular Friday night I was there, the kitchen was backed up an hour plus on pizza, so my friends and I just ordered a ton of appetizers which were quite delicious. I might return on a weeknight to try the pizza!
I liked My wing's. Service Was okay. I remember this place always having much better taplist! Most stuff on tap I can get at local lq store for cheaper. Bring back The good craft banger beers!
Service was great. I haven't had that great service for a long time in Boulder..The pizza was great..The crust was delicious. It is a little flimsy in the middle. But leftovers proved to be as good as the night of.
Used to be top tier, something slipped in the past few yearsWe stopped here last week after skiing Eldo expecting great beer and good pizza at a decent rate. The ciders we ordered were delicious, and a reasonable deal for happy hour.I grossly overspent on my pizza, as I misunderstood the expense of individual toppings (~2$ per). When it came, it was floppy, undercooked, and greasy, and the sausage was mush. Not sure what kind of cheese was used but I wasn’t pleased with the taste or texture. With some nicer ingredients and a bit more finesse with the oven temperature, I think backcountry could return to their past pie quality, but I was underwhelmed for what ended up being about a 30$ pizza. My stomach was wrenching on the way home and ultimately I never ate the leftovers.Friend ordered tender chickens or whatever they’re called on the menu, and they seemed alright. Tater tots were probably frozen but can’t complain.I like the classic pub styled interior but it’s definitely dated and a bit grimey for my taste. Some new booths and a good cleaning would go a long way.Wouldn’t say backcountry is worth skipping for everyone, but I’ll be going to other restaurants when I’m in Boulder.
