Stopped by at 7:35 pm, sign on the door indicated they were open until 8:00 pm. Unfortunately the door was locked and could see people dining in the restaurant. Called and spoke to the Kay, the manager, who indicated she closed the kitchen and the restaurant at 7:30 pm. If the sign says open until 8:00 pm, you should be prepared to serve customers who stopped by for dinner. Thank you for closing early on a whim, just so you could leave early. I guess they don't need my business... replace Kay. She is lazy, is ruinng this Village Inn, and won't be surprised if this location goes out of business. Kay = zero customer service.
My recommendation: Choose someplace else to eat. Filthy restaurant. Inside and out, I've seen cleaner dog kennels. Staff smoking outside never seen washing hands afterwards. Sullen and at times menacing staff very rude. You may get free food because you'll often have to send your order back. Menu should read "rubber" eggs, not scrambled. Loud, inappropriate chatter from "manager."
Mid morning a few weeks ago, wasn't too busy. Waitress very helpful and solicitous.Let me sit at table over an hour while I took care of personal chores on my phone.Food GREAT too! Excellent sandwich, but I forget what kind. Also excellent vanilla ice cream on mixed berry pie!Going there again in an hour! Yum!
The food was excellent. Best waffles I can remember having. The poor server was serving the entire restaurant by herself and she handled it the best she could and kept a smile on her face, but because she was alone, service was slow. Not her fault at all. I don’t understand why the management would do that to her. I loved the food so I will go back, and hopefully it will be better.
Check your receipts! Our surver charged for sodas that weren't ordered. On my vib she added an extra choice so it charged $1.49 extra. She claimed that the chocolate chip pancakes are now a premium choice and the computer automatically added the charge. If that's the case, why did she need to add an extra item to create the extra charge! There's definitely some sketchy stuff going on at this village inn.
While Jason's customer service skills are fantastic the chef has a lot of room for improvement. My crispy hash browns showed up half cooked and cold but he made up for it by sending my over easy eggs out fried almost hard. Kudos to Jason . Not so much for the cook
Waitress was rude the moment we sat down. Also, they are completely out of cream for coffee and Whipped cream for the hot chocolate my kids ordered. How does a breakfast place allow itself to run out of things needed for BREAKFAST!!!! Maybe send someone over to the store and get some Creamer! Also, restaurant is dirty, food and crumbs all over the floor and the table was barely wiped down. Definitely not coming back to this one.
Waited over an hour after we ordered for our food. Finally the manager comes to our table and says they only have one cook in the kitchen and she can't help because of a "hurt hand". There was no warning when we walked in about the horrible wait time for food or even when we ordered. The manager, after an hour, still couldn't guarantee our food would be up in the next 30 minutes so finally we had to just leave. I understand you are short staffed, but absolutely horrible service. Many promises every 15 minutes our food would be out "soon". An hour later no food. I would have preferred the honesty about how short staffed they are so I didn't have to waste so much of my time. Will not be coming back.
This Village Inn location has been our go to restaurant for over 10 years, the food was excellent service outstanding however this time we waited 15 minutes to be seated then we waited another 45 minutes for our food. The Fried Chicken steak was over dried, the hash browns were undercooked, the creeps were thick and chewy. Overall food quality went dramatically down and so has service sorry to say but this is a last visit to this village in location.
Best Village Inn in CO. Best service. Sweet servers and super delicious biscuits sausage and gravy and hash browns and eggs and toast yo! Thanks for dinner ladies!
