I travel to Aurora regularly for work. This is my go to place for a quick bite to eat and a drink. If the Avs or Broncos are playing I’ll carry the game here as well. They have a good selection of brews on tap and they make a pretty good Moscow Mule to sip on as well. The food is good, sandwiches and basic bar food. The burgers can be a little greasy but they are delicious! I’ve always enjoyed the wait staff and how friendly they are, and you can’t beat the nights when they have trivia. The whole bar gets in on it and has a good time.
Great people! Great food!! Awesome drinks!! Our server Rachel was new but was so great!! She was kind sweet and fast!!! Highly recommended!! Also try any shot on their shot board and you will not be disappointed! I had the cinnamon toast crunch shot and it tasted like Christmas!! Just magical!!
Royal Hilltop is located in a strip mall right next to the movie theater. Small and quaint, it's a local joint that you go back to over and over again. They have great food and service. Lauren was running the joint. Super nice, she made me the best pineapple martini I've ever had. I had fish and chips that were delicious. Their French fries are skinny and crunchy, really good. And they play great music. There's an outside patio where you can dine alfresco. The burgers are amazing. I love this place, and go often!
Just you average place. My mom got a refill on her coke, but I never got one. Most of the prices on the menu were really high. Also the apps we got were small for the price. Place seemed clean though. The food was about average in quality. The only good thing about the food is that they use the good ranch. Then we were also up charged for the honey mustered. The waitress asked if we wanted any other sauces and we said yes. She didn't say it would cost more, but charged us. Bad service.
We enjoyed everything we ordered. The burger with sweet potato fries made my mom happy. My hubby was totally grubbing on the Philly cheese steak and my Shepard Pie was super tasty. The drinks were just what we needed at the end of the work week. Our waiter, Chris, took care of us and we left feeling full, relaxed and ready to enjoy the weekend.
I so badly want this place to be “neighborhood awesome” and it just falls well short. The tap list is too pretentious, the food is decent at beat and way overpriced. Pass.
Cool little bar with a great beer selection. We ordered some food and It didn't disappoint. The Monte Cristo was amazing! My prime rib French dip was average. It was still good. It's a French dip. But it was fatty and the dip was more like beef water instead of beef broth. Again....it was still good. Next time I will try the Philly. I've heard good things about it. All in all worth the stop. Bartender was SUPER nice and helpful. Will definitely return!
I'd been here a couple of times at night and it was very busy and took forever to get served. I excused that. Went on a Sunday afternoon with only two other tables ordering food and a handful of bar stool regulars enjoying some sports gab, the service was slow. I attribute this to the one person waiting the bar and the tables. I give it 2 stars because she was working hard and doing the best she could. So the very reason I would've given it one star outside of the very nice waitress, is because I ordered a cob salad and, for the cost ($15.99) for lettuce, tomato, egg, chicken, etc. the lettuce was practically liquified it was so old. Gross. The waitress asked if everything was all right. I showed her the lettuce, which I had moved to the side, and how translucent it was, and she discounted me. (I had a coupon for $7 off, she gave me the salad and said to use the coupon next go round... there won't be a next go round so I am not gaining that $7)Anyway, it seems to be a very popular joint but I felt the need to say, do NOT order anything fresh!Oh, and my companion ordered a burger that was supposed to come with onion straws but did not. He didn't mention it.
The service was pretty bad. Me and my friends went there for lunch. It took a fairly long time to get menus. The waitress was very distracted and took awhile to take our orders. When the burgers came out 2 out of the 3 weren't done right. When the order came out is was very underwhelming. The burger was not worth 16$ dollars at all. And then we were charged for 5 drafts and 2 cans. When we ordered 2 drafts and 1 can and one shot. The shot was never poured either. This was a very poor dining experience.
First time here and last. The restaurant is really cold. Overhead fans are on at full blast. Thought the food would warm us up but it came out cold and took forever. The owner's responses to all these bad reviews indicates he's more worried about making snappy comments back than actually fixing his business. If you can't deal with the social media part of business than hire somebody else to do it for you. Definitely taking these reviews too personally.
