Landed here on a whim, and had the BEST experience! The restaurant was super clean, and the menu offered a variety platter - which is always a favorite when enjoying Ethiopian, especially when trying a new venue. Staff was very attentive and friendly - and the owner/chef, Seblah, even came out to greet me and follow-up on my meal. The atmosphere and sense of welcome was as wonderful as the food, and I encourage everyone to support this stand-out local business!

I was passing through Denver and wanted Ethiopian food. Picked this restaurant because of its high ratings. I was not disappointed. I can't say enough good about the wonderful vegetarian food (had the veggie combo-8 items). I've eaten in about 20 different Ethiopian restaurants and make a few dishes myself. The food here is among the best I've had. PS. T'ej comes in aberela. Ample portions, friendly service. Atmosphere plain, but go for the food.

I have had a few different Ethiopian spots in the city and this is my absolute favorite. Ever since I discovered this one, I haven’t been to another. The food is SO good! I always get the veggie combo and the veggie sambusa’s. They do not disappoint! Even the salad is yummy and a lot of Ethiopian spots go very plain on the salad. Not sure when they started adding avocado to the salad, but that’s what sets it apart!

The food and service at this restaurant are so outstanding! I have eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants in the Denver area and have even had the pleasure of traveling to Ethiopia, and this is the best Ethiopian food in Denver. As a vegetarian, I only order the vegetarian combo, so I can't comment on the other dishes. But let me say that the beet root dish on the vegetarian combo platter is like nothing I have ever tasted before. I have never seen anything like it at any other Ethiopian restaurant. It is so delicious and fresh tasting. In fact, all the items on the vegetarian combination platter are incredibly fresh tasting, unlike some other Ethiopian restaurants where the food tastes like it has been sitting in a steam table for a while.Additionally, the restaurant is very clean and spacious, so you don't have to worry about sitting to close to another party. The staff has always been friendly and kind and very accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.

It's said that the best Ethiopian restaurants in the US are in D.C. -- and that city does have some incredible gems. But! We are extraordinarily lucky to have a local Ethiopian restaurant that competes with the best of the D.C. Ethiopian eateries: and that's Chef Seble's Eatopia. To be totally honest, Eatopia isn't exactly local for us: it's a 45 minute drive from Boulder. And yet, we keep making that drive.Eatopia is hands-down my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the area. (It's usurped Megenagna for me, which -- to be clear -- is still good!) Seble's food is utterly delicious and balanced. Get the vegetable platter, and you'll be presented with an array of fresh vegetable stews and dishes, along with a vibrant green salad. Her sambusas are freshly stuffed and fried to order, resulting in one of the most delightful food experiences you'll ever have. I particularly love the lentil sabusas ... they're garlicky treasures! We always gobble up the tibs (particularly the beef awaze), which are well-spiced and delicious. And the doro wot! That sauce is just wonderful. What stands out to me the most, however, is the injera. Injera is so difficult to get right! I've tried making it at home, and, after two weeks of waiting for everything to ferment, my results were subpar at best. Ethiopian restaurants seem to be hit or miss with injera. It's just hard to hit the right note with that fermentation. And yet: Seble's injera is *perfection*. Pillowy soft, obviously fresh, and the perfect amount of sour. She's figured out how to make an injera that's consistently toothsome. In fact, all of the small children in my family love Seble's injera so much that they eat it by itself! As far as the ambiance goes, don't expect a super quick turnaround or a formal environment. Eatopia is a very casual place, which I really appreciate as the mother to a rambunctious three-year-old. (My kid loves it there.) The restaurant feels like a casual hangout spot where you can make yourself at home, and people are constantly coming and going to either grab a bite to eat, get some coffee, or say hi to Seble. The food usually takes a while to make -- around half an hour, maybe more -- but once it comes out, it's obvious that's because the dishes were freshly cooked. Trust me: it's worth the wait! The staff is always friendly, and Seble herself is super genuine and pleasant. Go to experience Eatopia when you have time to enjoy your food and appreciate some incredible flavors. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and strongly encourage you to give it a try! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(We regularly call ahead at Eatopia to place a large to go order, then we drive from Boulder to pick it up. We bring all the food home and enjoy it for several lunches and dinners over the next couple of days. I highly recommend doing that if you love Ethiopian cuisine as much as I do!)

First time trying Ethiopian food and loved it! The waitress walked me through some of the menu. The chef then came out and fielded my questions and explained how to enjoy the food. Family owned and the food is made with love!!Also accidentally stopped in on Ethiopian Christmas. The chef gave me a traditional Ethiopian chicken and egg stew (I believe it’s called doro wot) to enjoy as their guest. Wow! It was great .Y’all gotta check it out!Melkam genna!?

This was our first experience in an Ethiopian restaurant and it was a wonderful one!The food was unique, flavourful with plenty of options for both vegetarians( like my husband & I) or meat lovers ( like my kids). The music & ambiance were great and the staff was so gracious & welcoming! Will definitely be back!

The food was amazing. Some of the highest quality, best, most authentic food that I've ever had. The service was incredible, and the chef and staff really made you feel at home. I highly recommend to eat at Eatopia, as it is truly a worthwhile experience.

I thought that the food was great, everyone who worked there was really nice, and I would recommend that you go.

Absolutely wonderful Ethiopian food! If you haven't tried Ethiopian food, make the trip! This is the perfect place to experience all of the amazing flavors of Ethiopia. The owner and chef took the time to talk with us at length, provided so much information and answered all of our questions. I've been to many Ethiopian restaurants in Denver and the one in the Springs but this is definitely our new favorite.
