We had been told this was one of the best Mexican restaurants in Denver. The service was impeccable. The chips and salsa were great, however, the entrées did not at all meet expectations.
So I wanted to like this place but unfortunately you should go somewhere else for Mexican food. Had a pick up order. The food wasn't very flavorful and seemed like a reheat situation. I give it one star for price also 20+ a plate on average for very underwhelming food. Got some to go drinks but more like to go cups of ice. Bottom line I've had better food off a truck and drive through and recently also payed alot less. Del sol express in lakewood is a example of better food for half the cost.
Ordered to go and the process was straight forward, pick up was ready at the designated time, staff were friendly and attentive. Inside the restaurant looked decently clean and there were people inside.Once I got home with the order, I realized that the entree that I ordered (colorado burrito) was just that, a burrito. No beans or rice or anything, the menu description was accurate so that’s on me.The flavor of everything we ordered was bland. Canned store bought beans tasted better, the rice was cooked well but not flavorful, and my wife’s carne asada dish was cold, granted it wasn’t tough either.Overall it was just “meh” and for 50 dollars for 2 meals, an a la carte chimichanga and a kids meal burrito I was expecting a lot more both in quantity of food and quality.
Decided to do take out at the last minute after getting gas nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful with our order. We'll be back again. Thank you!
Order the red snapper and instead received what looked like a Walmart tilapia covered with red sauce . Not happy at all . Taste was terrible . Service was great but the food gets 1 star .
WORST MARGARITA we've ever had. They were bland, almost watered down tasting. And they don't know what a paloma is. Whatever they made had no grapefruit at all and had some kind of seltzer. The Cadillac margarita I got instead just tasted like the watered down margarita with orange juice.Food was good and service too. But won't be going back.
We got a table immediately, had great food and drinks. Staff was friendly and good prices. This is a nice easy place to eat.
I don’t understand how this place is highly reviewed. We’ve heard good things from friends. The food was just mediocre. The drinks were watered down, and some of the highest prices I’ve seen. Service was great. The price overall was unrealistically high for what you get. We literally left and said “we should have stayed home and cooked instead”. We will not be returning.
Moved to Southlands area and was thrilled to see this restaurant close by. However, recent carry out order left me literally speechless. I asked if there were chips in the bag and was told yes I have everything I need. I should have opened the bag right then and there but had hungry people waiting at home. Specifically ordered the mushroom salsa assuming it would come with chips, yet we were given maybe 20 chips total. I called and asked about it and was told they don't really give many chips out for pick up orders? Huh? A Mexican restaurant that doesn't give chips out when you specifically pay for and order salsa? Never heard of it. Bad on me for not taking care of it while I was there, but it will unfortunately be my last time I go. PS allow someone to add chips to an order online if you don't provide them then.
The environment was nice. The virgin piña colada was delicious. ? for a Friday afternoon I would assume it’s slow and the water would be very involved but he was quick and didn’t check in throughout the meal. I am a little biased with Mexican food since I cook it myself. This food was not bad but kinda just meh. The host that sat us was amazing. I think my experience would be totally different if he was the waiter. He was fun, happy, personable, talkative and hospitable. The waiter only smiled when it was time to tip ?
