(Takeout) My wife and I called this the worst Chinese food we've ever had. I don't say that to be harsh; we are just ranking it. Our experience did not align with the rest of these 500 reviews. My Mongolian chicken was basically a big bowl of onions and sauce with a few little chicken pieces sprinkled in. Seriously! It was just a ton of onions! I'm not exaggerating. 1lb 1oz of sauce and onions after I picked out all the chicken and ate a few onions. My wife's sweet and sour pork was super dry, and the sweet and sour sauce seemed like just red colored syrup cut with some water. There was no "sour" about it. The fried rice was pretty weak and very dry as well. The egg drop soup wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either; pretty bland really. We were very disappointed to spend 30 bucks and none of it was good. I'm SO glad we tipped up front when ordering in-store for takeout... I would not recommend.
Food looked and tasted good, but every picture online of their egg rolls is the complete opposite of what they gave me as egg rolls. Is there not a single restaurant in the Denver area that knows what a proper egg roll is? This is a spring roll! Stop selling these as egg rolls!
Service was amazing! The man who served us was really nice and took the time to chat with us a bit and made sure our service was great!Food was super tasty. We got strawberry and coconut boba--both delicious!Orange chicken--breading was super crispyCombination lo mein was hella flavorfulServed us tasty orange with our fortune cookiesWe got the dinner special with the pu pu platter included and it was a great value!
Moved here from NY metro area 5 years ago and have been desperately trying to find some good Chinese take out. I've found it. I've tried, probably, 40+ Chinese restaurants in Denver and this is my favorite. The staff is very friendly, the main dishes are tasty and the portions are generous.
Finally, they are open for dine in. The food was great, highly recommend the Pu Pu platter. They dress up the plates now, and you get an orange at the end of the meal with your fortune cookie ?. Totally happy with the experience.
The food is wonderful,, so fresh and tasty. The spring rolls some of the best i've had,....light, crisp batter and delicious filling. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Went to Red Lantern later in the night and a nice employee opened the door after the OPEN sign was off and offered us to come inside even though they had already technically closed. He was super patient with us and answered all the questions we had about the food. He ended up throwing in some extra soup and crab rangoons and was extremely kind. The food was delicious and customer service was amazing. If I wasn’t in Colorado for vacation this would be a regular spot I would come back to.
I have always had a great experience in this place to me is the best Chinese food around. The deliveries are a bit slow I do believe that's because of the large amount of coustomsrs .. could be wrong. Typically I get the sesame chicken they have a very good spicy and non spicy variety. A good amount of meat to bread ratio not just all breading and filler like a lot of place. There are restaurants closer to my house but I choose to go out of my way call ahead and pick up at this restaurant they're always ready before I get there 1.oeder.of any dish is enough to fill up two people
The food was good overall, but unfortunately didn't have the flavor profile we were hoping for. We ordered general tsao, chicken in garlic sauce, orange chicken, and spare ribs. They did forget one of my entrees that I ordered for pickup but were very kind and delivered it for free with a complimentary order of eggrolls. Would be willing to try it again, perhaps the curry or other thai dishes will be more flavorful?
Really disappointed with about everything I got. The hot and sour was a brown color and was not sour at all. And really just not good. The crab cheese wontons were almost just cream cheese. The Mongolian beef was pretty good but fried rice that came with it was just ateamed white rice darkened with soy sauce. There's really nothing authentic about this place. So I found a paper towel on my food which was really gross. Bit right into it because it was soaked in sauce and almost looked like the pork that was in my egg foo young.whoch also was not impressive or flavorful at all
