They had a great performance and I understand the day we went was fathers day but if your going with less then 4 people they pretty much act like you don't exist. We had a reservation for 6 pm and didn't get seated till about 7. Then the guy that was doing the cooking was an alternate so we truly didn't get a full experience in my opinion.
Amazing dinner sized portions of food. The sushi was delicious! The servers could be more attentive. The rice was heavily seasoned, like too much so definitely recommend paying attention to that. I was also bothered a service fee was sneakily added to my bill. When asked, the server said it was for the cook ?. I get that they want to make sure everyone gets paid fairly but sneaking it on there with no heads up is deceitful. I don’t know if it’s just this location, but I didn’t have that at the other Mt. Fuji location
Good food but not compared to better Hibachi places. All the floors were dirty and sticky and the chair pleather flaking off. Prices are the same as the nicer Hibachi places. We were sad they didn't have any fun sauces to try like other Hibachi restaurants and they won't serve part of the menu at the grill and make you choose something from the "Hibachi part" of the menu even though it doesn't state that anywhere on the menu. We'd rather go to a cleaner more classy restaurant next time.Features: None at all
First time eating here was not a grand slam for us. My wife called the day before and made reservations, we arrived just before that time and waited by the front door for about 20 minutes before someone acknowledged that we were there. Then it was maybe another 20 minutes before we were sat. While waiting We noticed how boring the atmosphere was, no music, no artwork, not much going on other than the chefs doing their thing. We were finally sat and had a couple drinks before “Pendi” (sp?) came out to cook the food. I was not impressed with his cooking, the chef behind him was way better and more entertaining so we pretty much Watched him instead. Our guy didn’t do a lot of the traditional things you see in a hibachi chef, it was kind of a minimal performance. All of the other chefs we watched were doing all the things that our guy was lacking. His English is not very good, we had a hard time understanding anything he was saying. Someone brought out the sides for the sauces, but they never got filled and distributed to the guests, they just sat there off to the side. The vent hoods in here are obviously very old and not working too good, the dining room was filled with smoke from all the cooking. The food itself was good and gets the 2 stars, but I don’t think we will be returning here.
Good hibachi, and LOTS of it. Comes with noodles as well as rice, so you will leave FULL. Enjoyed a sushi appetizer, fresh and tasty. Chef was great with the four kids at the table. Will definitely go again!
This was my first time ordering from Mount Fuji. I picked the restaurant based off of the Google reviews, but I’m not sure what happened. We ordered three rolls and some pieces of meat. Everything was great except for one roll. In the one roll, the chef left the shrimp tail inside of the roll, and honestly, it was like two were tucked in there because the whole roll had tail pieces in it! It was awful and definitely ruined the rest dinner for us. Not sure we’ll be back
Pendi,is hands down the best hibachi chef in my eyes! Hes funny and awesome and is and amazing chef. Don't get me.wrong the other hibachi chefs there are amazing everyone of them , but Pendi remembers you your family,he remembers what you ate last time, hes just awesome. , hes one of a kind!! I truly enjoy this place . My son and I had another amazing experience. I will not go anywhere else for hibachi.
Went there March 6th at 6:50 pm because we had a reservation for my friend's birthday (which she had for 4 weeks) at 7:00 p.m. They kept telling us It would just be a few more minutes over and over until finally an hour past. At 8:00 p.m. They told us they could seat us but they would have to separate us. We asked if they would at least by the birthday girls dinner or give her a discount and they said no. So we left and they lost a party of 12 people. That's just not good business
Stopped in for a random lunch, did not realize the delicious and fun atmosphere we were walking into! Food was scrumptious service was magnificent and the chef/entertainment was spot on! Will definitely be back!
I rarely write bad reviews but my god, this was the worst hibachi/general takeout I’ve ever had. We got the filet mignon and shrimp combo as well as some sides and two expensive sushi rolls yesterday evening. The portions were minuscule, the food was cold, the, whatever they’re passing off as filet mignon, was burnt to a crisp and tiny (probably about three full spoonfuls of half inch meat cubes), there were only 4 pieces of shrimp, and they packed the hot food on top of the sushi, literally ruining it. I work in kitchens and restaurants: this is the sloppiest job I’ve seen from a kitchen where they’re charging $30+ per plate, let alone the cost of sushi. Unbelievable. I don’t know if staff is underpaid or management is incompetent (because it’s rarely the workers since most of us are burnt out), but whoever the bosses are there need to do better.
