Been eating at the Monterrey House for 40 years. Always great, by far the best beans around, and not just greasy spicy food like most Mexican restaurant.
the steak fajitas were excellent !! customer service was exceptional. ***** 5 Stars.
The Best Tex Mex food in town for the price. Prices are excellent for what you get and service is amazing. If you like a nice quaint place with a personal touch for low cost, I would highly recommend this place.
Attention please.. Nelson (Mgr) Alfredo ( The fabulous personal owner) and Ramon (chief) are a team that can't be beat! Guaranteed.I have been in Colorado 3 years after Living in Mexico for 2 years. "The Monterey House" is so fabulous /" Delicious, with flavors and quality beyond belief.I'm so excited to be able to write this review. If you want the real athetic Top of its class Mexican food this is a place to go.
If we could give zero stars we would. The Mexican food @ The Monterrey House is horrible. I had the Mexican hamburger it was bland and lacked flavor. My husband had the chili rellano and it was floating in watery ...I think green chili. Beans had zero flavor. What is amazing is that this place can be packed???? Guess people like awful food. YUCK ? We won't be back.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. We have went here and their previous locations all the way back when they were by Sloans lake and ran by the Silvas. I see a review for enchilada sauce that was bad. I would not know about that but the burritos and the Salad Plate are Fantastic. They make fresh real guacamole perfect and the queso on tortilla absolute must try with a taco and tostada for around $10.00 together on the salad plate, I say Fantastic.
Spot on delicious! Fast, courteous service especially given we were waiting for the doors to open!
40 years ...followed to several relocated sites....still love love love this food.....!!Salad Plate is my every time order....yum.. !!The only way to fly... New owners again and these guys are almost the same as 40 years ago owners...doing it as it was intended to be done...!!!
Placed a pickup order over the phone and was hung up on by a female staff person to start. Asked for eggs over medium and they were runny with raw whites. As others have stated, green chili is watery like a soup. ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were like hockey pucks, so hard could not cut through them with a fork. Some of the food they serve is just stuff they buy from King Soopers (tortillas and corned beef hash). When I called back to speak to someone about it a guy who answered was rude and hung up on me again. This place is definitely not the good old Monterey House that was across the street. Never going back again!
Very good mexican!! Our first time here, but a long time favorite of friends. Good portions, excellent service.
