Food was average . The margaritas tasted syrupy and gave me a stomach ache. My husband did enjoy the shrimp. We went in with a group of 6 last night. None of us ever been there and the server (a middle aged short Hispanic woman with strawberry blond hair, pulled up in a tight bun), was very rude when we were not sure what to order and we just sat down. After our meal came and we were trying to figure out the receipt and who pays what in our party, she then got upset and inpatient and then ignored us . We had to get another server to cash us out. I live in Yucaipa, but will not return. Interior decor needs a face lift.
Friendly waitresses, the food came quick. The asada caseadea was so good and big portions. Not so thrilled with the carny asada plate though.
La Mexicana has been one of our favorites for over 20 years. Good food and friendly service. To The OWNER..., My one recommendation with rising costs. Your AL Gusto Burrito... PLEASE do not shrink the Original size. Keep It large with whatever amount of meat is standard, just add more rice/beans so the size is as it always was... Huge. Doing this will keep your cost the same as no extra meat is used, only inexpensive bulk added. REMEMBER, presentation is what sells, and keeps patrons happy and not feeling they are being given less for more $$.. Thank you.

Friendly staff, yummy salsa, great Chile rellenos. Went for a late lunch and discovered $5 happy hour Margaritas starting at 2:00 p.m. That was an added bonus!

Pretty popular dine in restaurant. Customer service started off good but we were seated and forgotten about. One waitress did not say a word to us or asked if we needed anything, knowing our waitress was busy. She walked past us with a water pitcher and didnt even offer us a drop pf water for refills.Menu's state menudo and pozole included but waitress said that's not true any more.Porkchops was my item of choice till the waitress returned 15 mins later saying there was none.After eating waited for waitress to bring check which she never did. I got her attention for it so i can pay and leave.

Today we found another GEM in Yucaipa!La Mexicana Restaurant on Yucaipa Blvd. This place has been here for over 20 years serving great Mexican food and I can’t believe I never ate here before. Their menu is filled with so many choices and yet, I still go to my favorite dish a wet Chile Verde Burrito with Beans and Cheese and it had the perfect amount of heat and was so delicious overall. Need a great Mexican food fix?I suggest La Mexican Restaurant in Yucaipa.
So glad they're back open! we enjoy their food. Always has great service from each and every one of of their servers. Such a family feeling we get when we eat there.
