Fantastic breakfast! Copious portion sizes, affordable prices, and great service.Reminiscent of a good ole' diner from the pre-2000s. The coffee cup was never more than half-empty as an endless stream of refills kept coming. Enough food on the plate to keep your belly full until bedtime.The standout item to me was the Cinnamon Streusel Muffin which is included as a side item on the breakfast combos. Don't come here and pass it up! The batter for the chicken fried steak was also very good.
This Place is an absolute Treasure!! If you have not had the great pleasure of dining here you are missing out. Right off the 10 FWY in Yucaipa/Calimesa, you can't miss it. The staff is so friendly and wonderful. Thanks to Millie and Chris who made our return visit a treat. Even the guests who are here are cordial and kind. The Food is outstanding!! Look at our Pics. Wife and I love coming to Clarkie's Parking lot can get packed, and there is usually a 20-30 minute wait. But it is worth the wait. Staff is always friendly and portions are plentiful. Love their cinnamon streusel muffin, fluffy and moist.
On the way out of California the Fool's Errand made a stop at Clarkie's; this place will truly be missed. It is a fantastic eatery and you simply have to get a cinnamon pastry...can you say melted butter? They stay very busy; well worth the wait.
First time diner. Came for cinnamon streusel muffin. It was so good. Ordered egg white, turkey sausage, spinach omelet, with side of fruit. Served hot. Very satisfying. Outstanding service. Cheers to the cooks and servers.
Excellent service and food, the chicken fried steak was spot on, the gravy was fantastic, the biscuits were wonderful, good coffee.Only minor thing is that they do not season their potatoes you season them yourself but they were still really good.
Best breakfast I've ever had! Always hot and delicious, always fresh. Any mistakes are fixed and apologies are made. Great atmosphere and staff! Great place for those last minute family brunches!
Clarkie's is one of my husband's and my go-to restaurants for local daytime diners! Today we split a Denver scramble with the side of potatoes and salsa, and a hot cinnamon/brown sugar struesel muffin - always hits the spot! *Tip: to level up that muffin in a big way ask for a scoop of ice cream on top of it!! :) The service was friendly (as usual!) and the price was fair (yup), and we left satisfied - again, as always. So nice to have a place where you can relax and enjoy good down home cooking in a laid back, rustic environment. Thanks!
Definitely going to return to this establishment. It's a favorite place to go for local law enforcement, fire department personnel and a lot of other folks. There's good reason for it; numerous comfortable booths, seating for groups, attentive waitresses, a famous cinnamon roll, and a plethora of choices available on the menu. Our food arrived fast, portions were more than adequate. Due to its popularity and the time that you arrive there parking may be around the corner but don't let that stop you.
Service is great, and food is always delicious!
