Food was great! They also helped us out with the situation we were in while traveling. This brewery will be added on to our route for now on. Great service! Great people!
I would love to give this place 5 stars, however service is slow whether it is busy or not. The service is friendly and helpful, there just isnt as much checking up as there should be, especially at a brewerry when the beer is good and you want to order more! So just make sure you aren't in a rush or have plans to be somewhere and you are golden.Let's get to the good stuff...THE FOOD!!! The food is delicious and there is a decent variety of German, Irish, Italian, and classic American dishes. There is Stromboli, pizza, schnitzel with spaetzle, pasta dishes, burgers, and soft pretzels, and German sausage and saurkraut and red cabbage and just many delicious food items. Those are just a few that we tried and liked! But everything looked and sounded delicious so it was hard to choose. But everything that was ordered, was all FANTASTICALLY tasty!Recommend if you don't have any plans and want some tasty food and good beer!
So depending on what beer they are pouring, taste them all, then pair your food to the one that jumps out at you! Try the Edelweiss hefe with the fish and chips … Or a dunkel with the Bavarian sampler ….
Rated number 1 restarant in Yuba City, we we're looking forward to a great experience. Met by a friendly greeter when we entered and we're shown to a table. There seemed to be plenty of servers working the room; so, staffing didn't seem to be a problem here. We ordered a bottle wine and ordered an appetizer and two entrees. My wife ordered the Shepherds Pie and I ordered the roasted pork shank. Our wine came quickly and then we waited. Apparently, or server forgot to order our appetizer; because our entrees showed up after 20 minutes. We mentioned we hadn't received our appetizer and got an "Oh, do you still want it" in reply. We declined. Our entrees were a hit and miss. The Shepherds Pie was tasty; but, pooled in liquid grease at the bottom of the bowl. Never had greasy Shepherds Pie before; so, not sure where the grease came from. Maybe from the melted cheese on top. Anyway, it was a bit off putting. There were supposed to be peas and carrots in the pie and there were. We counted 3 peas and a tiny carrot shred here and there. The roasted pork shank was delicious. Cooked to perfection and fall off the bone moist and flavorful. Served with braised red cabbage, homemade applesauce and mashed potatoes, it was excellent. With one exception, the mashed potatoes were a bit on the cold side; but, they still worked in combination with the rest of the plate. Our server was not as attentive as she could have been. We saw her when she took our order, having forgotten our appetizer, we saw her when our food arrived and, finally, we had to get her attention when we were finished eating and wanted our check. Lots of other things on the menu. It was a busy place with locals and families; so, our experience may be atypical. If you go, I recommend the roasted pork shank.
Looks like a great craft beer variety. And the food is on point. I could see this as a great gathering place for corporate/company events. Inside and outside dining available. Wood fired pizzas and craft beer with a decent menu.Takeout available on Sundays.
The food was Good. I had eaten there before and it was about the same. I got a spicey green beans (they where not spicey at all) The Corned beef burger was "ok" and the BLAT was average. The one redeeming item was the Thai Fries. Overall I went in to pickup my mobile order and got rushed out the door. I had to flag someone down to get a drink to go. I don't think I will be back. I was very disappointed with the overall experience.
The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I tried the Schnitzel in Mushroom Gravy. It was delicious as well as tender. I will definitely return.
We were really looking forward to going here. Wood fired pizza is what we like in a pizza. This one was just average though. The crust was cooked nicely, but was not a great texture. It wasn't able to stand without folding it (limp). Too soggy for our liking. Our onion rings were somewhat greasy and there was too much breading for our taste. On the other hand, the beers were great. They were out pf several, but new ones were almost ready. we will go back for the beer and might have a crack at the German food on the menu next time.
Great beer. But the food quality has gone down. Grease on everything and the tower of onion rings were just a few scattered on a little plate with soft beer batter and almost no onion.
Very fresh beer and tasty food! Scotch Ale and prime rib sandwich are my recommended!Reservation is recommended if you come for dinners during peak hours like Friday and Saturday.
