Do not go here... we ordered over $70 of food. Paid and they asked us to wait at the front door for our food, about 15 minutes later they brought out the bag. I told my sister that we needed to double check our order because I saw another customer walk in with a bag like she was missing something. We checked and sure enough we were missing a few items. My sister went in to ask for the items. The customer in front of her was in there because she was missing her $45 order of chicken. My sister was just casually talking to her when the manager decided he didn't like them talking to one another. Told the employee not to give my sister our missing items and that he was going to call the police. Sure enough three police patrols were called out. Manager said they weren't going to give us the items or refund our money. This isn't the first incident but this by far was the most ridiculous. Finally after about 45 minutes they decided to give the items but it came with the mangers decision to ban us from going to Popeye's again. Really!? Talk about poor management and poor customer service.
Well this particular Popeyes , isn't my favorite, and the food taste like old grease or oil like it's been used and restrained way too many times , the place could use some clean up , it's always very trashed the two times I've stopped by to grab a bite to eat , and if you ask for mild chicken it doesn't matter, your getting spicy (chicken strips) so after two visits. I think I won't be going to this Popeyes chicken , you would think that $20 is a bit high for three small strips or nuggets (as mine were just chunks not strips) and a drink no side and no biscuit that's just not right, I was informed that the combo comes with drink and 1 side and a biscuit, but mine didn't oh and you have to pay extra if you want dipping sauce. If they have it on hand. Which they usually don't, at least my two visits they were out both times , but I can say that the staff were very apologetic for all the trouble but it's all they have to work with , they seemed pretty happy though as they were just having a grand time cracking jokes and caring on with whatever was going on , I can't say anything about the inside. Because if the outside area is that unkept and trashy I would really hate to go inside I was there at five something in the pm dinner rush and it took me almost 15 minutes to order and get the wrong food and I was the only one there, no one drove in or went through the drive thru area , I see why , but the staff were happy and tried to help but all they could do was apologize, so for me I gave it two stars only because I just felt sorry for the employees , so I wouldn't suggest to visit this Popeyes in yuba city , it was a major let down , that is just my experiences hope you have a better visit than I did . Thanks for reading
Hot fresh food, friendly staff. The wait times have come a long way
Just went to Popeyes’s on a Saturday afternoon I would never make a report because I know the struggle of working in fast food from having experience for 2 years and having harsh costumers but not once did we disrespect the employees today and I have never been to Popeyes before and once we get our food we get told by Clarissa that we aren’t welcomed to Popeyes and we didn’t get a reason either. I will be reporting this to corporate as well. This was unacceptable and if I could rate this with no stars I would!
Popeye's chicken in Yuba City is very good.... when you can get it. This location always has a problem. Out of soda. No chicken available for several minutes. And a crapshoot to find out if you order is correct if you ordered in the drive thru. The latest headache is that they will not sell 'chicken only or chicken and biscuit', only a combo with a drink which is much more expensive. The staff there gives the impression they too are looking for the exits. All this can be said for the other location in Linda/Marysville .I've called Popeye's customer service line and received no response. There are many other places in town to buy quality Fried Chicken without going through this hassle. I do not expect Yuba City Popeye's to stay open if they continue like this.
Only drive-thruorders often wrongfoods good though
I'VE TRIED ONE PIECE OF THEIR CHICKEN...GOTTA HAVE MORE...AT THE FAMILY GET TOGETHER / THE CHICKEN DISAPPEARED REALLY QUICK...
I loved the hottie sauce chicken sandwich or whatever it's called ?
The chicken was cooked well, not dry and was flavorful. The fries were or should I say the seasoning was done well also. The staff were courteous and efficient if not warm or inviting.
Love Popeyes! Of course in NOLA it's a lot spicier, but still nice chicken and red beans and rice !
