Amazing service, great food, sweet digs at a nice price!I walk into an empty bar with playoff hokey on the TV. The shredded beef is incredible, the cheese perfect, the tacos take me back to a place from my youth.Only place in the area I would go for Mexican food!

Don't have good luck w carryout. Most choices are really good. Tamales very dry. This is our go to place for dinner usually. Most long time employees gone. Steven very nice. Couple years charge more for flour tortilla on taco. Menu prices don't reflect. Bad business practice.

not a big fan of mexican for, but El Zarape has the best Mexican food in town. unique flavor and fresh ingredients set them apart ... will be back

To be our first time coming to this restaurant, it was decent. The customer service was mediocre, the drinks were ok. The food is fresh and came out steaming hot which is a good thing. Meanwhile, we shouldn't have to ask for condiments like salt, pepper and hot sauce, they should already be set on tables. The hostesses, should be a lil more pleasant. However, For the price we paid, like $18 for a fajita, there needs to be more meat..it was disappointing looking at the small portion of food. Our total came out to be $60ish. The menu was set meals and barely any substitute options,if there's a shrimp quesadilla, why are there no shrimp tacos or Burritos or shrimp nachos? More options please! If I go to your establishment and you tell me because I don't have much on my plate is because you have a food shortage, that's a huge problem! I think this establishment has potential to be better, unfortunately, me and my husband will not be revisiting. The yuba city residents make 4 stars look like 2 stars,we were tricked!

Wow! I thought Casa Lupe was the best but now they have a close contender, especially since Casa Lupe is off their game.Everything is wonderful. But the deep fried flour tortilla tacos are the BOMB! OMG! Remember Taco Bell in the 1980s? The Taco Lite? The best thing they ever made, and now it's born again at El Zarape. Nothing is better than a deep fried flour tortilla, especially in a taco. Get it with the shredded beef, or if you are vegetarian, beans and guacamole.

We go out to dinner very rarely. But my favorite place close to home is El Zarape. The food is excellent and reasonable priced. The wait staff is friendly and well trained. We really enjoy going there.

Went with a party at 7 and your hostess was very rudeand told us it would be a 15 minute. As we were standing there she took a reservation for a party of 7 and a party of 9 over the phone which she would not allow us to do a reservation annd bumped us to one hour wait. Never coming back. Taking our money to casa lupe

My second time here, and I keep ordering the chile relleno. I got some of the red sauce on the side, and it is flavorful and very hot! Generous portion of beans and rice on the side. It's very festive inside, and everyone is spaced out safely.

I honestly like this restaurant but the service I got tonight was deplorable. I don't have anybody to dine with so I'm by myself. The waitress didn't even give me the time of day to get a seat. Finally gave up and left the restaurant and what's someplace else. Which is unfortunate because I was really looking forward two Mexican food tonight. They were busy but there is several small tables available and I wasn't even offered one of them pretty sad

We oreder chicken and got steak. We had a coupon for a free quac and was charged. Service was slow and I could see our waitress in the kitchen just chatting away. But when I went to pay the bill she rushed to the register to be everything was on the bill, not noticing the quac charge. Then the cashier had to go to the kitchen and confirm my coupon. Not impressed....
