Ordered food online from Dickey's website. Arrived at scheduled time to pickup order. Upon entering the restaurant I was informed the ordered wasn't filled. However, there was no call or email notifying me of this in advance.
First time coming here and they greeted me right away. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The food is great! I’d recommend coming here and I will be back
Really craving BBQ, coming from Sacramento to Chico. Looked up BBQ places and found Dickies BBQ Pit. The service was great, staff was super friendly, the food was very very good. Was planning on taking picture but ate everything before I remembered. We will be coming through again. We had the Brisket plate and it was delicious.
Ordered pulled pork and brisket with spicy bbq. Meat was dry and no flavor. they didn't add any bbq sauce to my order even when I ordered and paid for extra. Ordered 1/2 dozen corn muffins received a mix of muffins and ciabatta bread. Ordered brisket chili Mac and cheese and received plain chili and Mac. I called about my order and was told oh substitutions were made for the bread, oh sorry we forgot to add bbq to your order and we gave you chili mac like you ordered, read him back my receipt and he realized the mistake. Very nonchalant about the screw ups and non communication with substitutions. Took my name and number was told "owner" would call me back
Ordered the Rib plate; absolutely horrendous. The ribs were dry to the point of crunchy. I don't think they were meant to be that way. Ordered bbq beans and potato salad, not too bad, hence the one star.
Pritty good BBQ fix if your looking for some authentic BBQ flavor without doing it yourself. And it won't cost you a fortune but you do take a hit quality of the ingredients used. Like bars hot dogs that cost 1$ for 2 and instead it's 2$ for 1. But hey loke I said. Convenience lol
Horrible brisket, was stringy and dried out, tasted more like poorly prepared rump roast in a crock pot. The burnt ends were simply just rock hard burnt pieces of mystery meat.
Pulled pork and loaded mash potatoes were cold and the onion rings were burnt. The brisket chili was Good. The flavors of the sauce were good. It was a very slow day and only 1 other customer. Flavors were good but cold food and burnt onion rings this is my 1st time since a bad experience years ago.
I have been here a few times and it is always just okay. Today they had someone from corporate that was helping out and was trying his best to make things better. I really hope they do because I love BBQ. One thing I would say needs improvement is serving the food hot not just warm.
This place has a lot of problems. I have called in a few orders here and every time they take my order, then when I show up and half my order is not in stock. Which makes me wonder why they take the order first, then tell you when you show up that they are out of that item. It's most likely so you don't cancel the order all together, but then that's just shady. Another problem I have is that when I arrive to pick up what food they do have in stock, they haven't cooked it yet. They will pour the fries in the fryer once you get there and let them know you are here to pick up the order, not when you place a order. This has happened 3 times now and I wont be back for a fourth. The manager is lazy, and it makes the workers look bad. This place is not worth the trouble anymore
