I am not usually one to write a bad review, but this food was basically terrible! We have ordered Chinese food from several other restaurants in the Yuba/Marysville area and have enjoyed our meal very much. For the price paid it should have tasted good!House fried rice was passable.Sizzling Chicken was mushy and I have no idea where the sizzling comes in!Hong Kong chow mein was all stuck together with soupy vegetables on top.Broccoli beef tasted flat and the broccoli was mush and the beef was liked baked. The Brandy chicken was greasy and I had to take almost all the coating off before eating it.All the food lacked flavor. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I hate doing this, but maybe, just maybe, some things will be done differently after reading this review. First time there. I drove up, and there are homeless living on the left of the restaurant and a few suspect places on the right in the same strip mall. It looked upkept, so I already questioned it. I paid $25 for an order of pot stickers and order of eggrolls. Upon opening it, there were several things I noticed: 1. the eggrolls were burnt/overcooked and were filled with mainly celery, unidentifiable greens, some type of chewy meat, and miniturized shrimp. 2. The potstickers were undercooked, gooey, and the meat also appeared unidentifiable and smelled suspect. My suggestion: fill each eggroll with higher grade, bigger, and fresh shrimp, carrots, sprouts, celery, and onion and cook correctly. Secondly, fill the potstickers with fresh, wholesome meat mixed with fresh veggies and cook so they are not gooey and have a crisp edge to them. The prices were wayyyyyy to high. Lastly, make sure you are hosing off the front of the establishment, painting the wood that was shoved into the windows, and clean the area up surrounding the front of the restaurant to make it cleaner. Once again, I hate giving a bad review, but this one is necessary. Won't return unless changes are made.

The owner stopped by to check on us. Great food but the super star was the egg roll with the hot mustard. Amazing.

Told it would be 1.5 hours to get dinner. The place only has 15 tables and 5 were occupied. The service is extremely slow. Probably not going again or I’ll order 2 hours out.

they have the best Chinese food in town!!!

I don’t feel like I’ll return to this place after giving it 3 chances. This time i made an order or chow main, which was alright. Tasty buffet has better chowmain. And my second order was kung pao chicken, which i wish i could really rate the chicken but they barely put any pieces in the order. It was all vegetables in sauce and maybe like 5 pieces of chicken found in the entire one order. Small pieces too. Also, the main lady there is always looking mad and bothered. I asked for sauce to take home with my order and she only placed 1 tiny container of it. I had to stop at the store to pick one up. I will not come back to this restaurant due to the service and the poor portions of chicken.

Ordered over 100.00 in food from this place, was told it'd be two and half hours, which itself is insane. But I actually like the food, so I accept this. My wife goes two and a half hours later to get our food to be told that no, our food isn't ready yet, but will take substantially longer, Meanwhile, she watches as customers stream into the restaurant, order and then get served their food, eat, box up their food and leave. My wife sat there for another HOUR AND A HALF before we got our food. They were rude on the phone, rude when she arrived, and plain acted like she wasn't sitting there for over an hour after their stated wait time. I've been a 30 year customer of this place and I'll never be back. Unforgivable treatment. I'll tell everyone who will listen about how awful this place has become.

We've come here for years and it used to be our favorite chinese place however, it's gone down hill over the past few years. Dont get me wrong the workers work hard, but some of them get very rude when I assume they are overwhelmed. Its unnecessary and undeserved by the customer. For example, we called in an order and were told an 11/2 hours. No problem, we can wait. We show up around 1hr and 45 minutes to 2 hours later to give them a bit extra time from past experience. The food still isnt ready and they tell my husband it's going to be an addition 45 minutes to an hour.So what was supposed to be an 1 1/2 wait is now going to be about 3 hours. My husband tells them hes going to ask me if I want to wait or cancel and the waitress gets an attitude with him and says if hes going to cancel she needs to know NOW. Like, we've been more than patient, she can give him 2 minutes to talk to me. The wait times are ALWAYS unrealistic. My example was the worst and the last time we went and we wont be back again. Expect your wait time to be at a minimum of 30 minutes to an hour or more past the quoted wait time. The food has kinda gone downhill too. Its greasy, a lot of the items have this weird sour flavor, and it's just not quality. I feel like because they know they have a lot of business they can get away with subpar food and not worry about the quality. It's really unfortunate. I also feel cleanliness in the restaurant is a concern too. The place feels like it needs a deep cleaning. I hope they take these reviews into consideration and make some small changes. I would love to come back if they do, but until then theyve lost what was a long time customer.

This was the worst take out I have had in a really long time.Next time I'm going to tasty buffet.

It's been quite a while since I've been here. I don't know why. The food was great. The service was amazing. The price was very reasonable. The atmosphere was pleasant and reasonably quiet. I would recommend Chinese Garden for a good dinner or lunch.
