I used to live in China and truly amused how people think I can’t understand them…. The place is dirty and dark. Not very pleasant to stay here. The food is below average. We order for about $100 and ended up throwing almost everything away. The people that work at this place are rude. Not a smallest attempt to be friendly to customers and delivery drivers.
owner got mad I didn't give the exact amount of tip she wanted. She called me and bashed me. rude and entitled. Never going back after 5 years.
I'm so sorry to have to post a negative review for Shanghai Bistro. I like their food, and their staff is usually very nice. We got the owner on the phone when ordering tonight, and placed our order no problem; were told it would be an hour. Great, worth the wait. 10 minutes later we called to ask if we could cancel one of the dishes, and the lady started in on my wife that we always complain and we are always difficult and that she doesn't want to serve us anymore. We got fired from Shanghai Bistro! Imagine that.I recall once calling to complain that they sent the wrong dish, which they acknowledged and replaced. We called once when the food was 45 minutes past the eta and was already cold, and we had even pre-tipped. We have called maybe once more when our eta was a good 15-20 minutes passed to see what time to expect delivery. We have never been rude to them. But she insisted to my wife that we are very difficult, and it's her decision not to serve use. Whether she meant tonight or forever-more is beside the point, this is just an awful way to treat customers, and simple, "no, I'm sorry we can't cancel the one dish" would have been fine. Just a shame we can't reason it out.
Lots of food for the price. The sweet and sour shrimp and curry chicken was excellent.
Terrible food, dirty restaurant, and the risk of food poisoning here. I’d spend my money elsewhere. The lunch special I got was Mongolian beef and the beef had a horrible, fishy smell to it. I couldn’t even eat it. The rice was dry and the the egg drop soup had a terrible texture. It was like goopy snot. The salt and pepper chicken wings were okay but they were dry, looked burnt, and had that old oil taste. I wouldn’t order anything here again. It’s not worth it.
This place is great, food is delicious and prices are very reasonable. Great portions too. They've always been very nice and polite when I come in, so I'm really surprised that some people are leaving poor reviews. Best eggplant I've ever had!! Highly recommend
This was my to go Chinese food ? just to be really good food and amazing service but different cooks The chicken wings were overcook and the taste was like they haven’t changed the oil in months , Mongolian beef taste funky and the pepper beef did not have any flavor at all
The owner of this restaurant was swearing at one of the customers when i was placing my order, it was very unprofessional and she made some serious threats of bodily harm to the customer, i intervened and the owner poked me with a fork, i called the police and her and her husband started threatening me, this is not a welcoming or safe environment to be dining in, the owner does not know how to behave and is unstable, I had to go to the hospital to get 4 stitches. I will be pressing charges.
The owner of this restaurant was extremely rude, she insulted me in Chinese without knowing I knew how to speak Chinese myself, when my food arrived i found there was a milky residue in it, i found out it was spit! this place is disgusting and immoral. When confronted about it she told me i was not welcome in her restaurant and started swearing at me in front of my kids.
