Really solid Indian food. The samosas and chicken dishes are delicious. Garlic naan delicious. Rice had a great texture. Very attentive service and the friendly owner came over and chatted with us multiple times.
Great place for some authentic Indian food. The place is not upscale but if you are looking for truly delicious food then this is the place to be. I ate here after a long day of touring LA and the food was a perfect end to the day with the fast service and great quantity.
I came for the lunch buffet. It is fresh and delicious. I'm no Indian food expert but the flavors here are better than the other spots I've been to. I would highly recommend to anyone no familiar with Indian food as you have the opportunity to try many dishes.
I ordered today from Shalimar and as expected, the food was mouthwatering! All of the many different flavors were perfectly blended. I love this restaurant. They took my order by phone, and my food arrived perfectly as requested which is rare in most Indian food delivery restaurants.
Yummy Indian food at a good price. Went for the lunch buffet and there's everything you could want, from butter chicken to vegetarian curries (never seen that on the buffet bar at an Indian place!) to sweet puddings. Very delicious.
An absolute delight! Staff was friendly and nonintrusive and seemed genuinely happy that we enjoyed the food. Everything was spiced perfectly and very fresh, with very generous portions. We would definitely visit this place again if we're ever in the area again!
Some of the best Indian food we have ever had! The service was really good too. Our waiter was very nice and we felt well taken care of. Can’t wait to come back!
We stopped for Lunch buffet while our way bag to Woodland Hills. So contented with the food, loved everything that they offered in the buffet. Must go if you like Indian food.
Best Indian food I've had in LA. You can taste the quality at Shalimar Cuisine of India. Many of their curries are slow cooked and they have a real tandoor in house so you get the freshest breads.
Once the best Indian restaurant in the Valley has completely lost its way and is just pumping out tired and tasteless food. I used to happily drive from the west side to get a taste of the great cuisine they used to serve here, but it seems like they’ve gotten cheap with the ingredients, skip seasonings and spices altogether, and have just forgotten why people come to restaurants in the first place. While the service is friendly it just does not make up for the lack of flavor and quality. It is always sad to see someplace that was once great deteriorating but I think the time has come to close this chapter of valley dining history.
