? Food:I keep coming back for the barbecue chicken ? it is the juiciest most delicious BBQ meal you find within 100 miles!??Service:Fantastic, a friendly Southern hospitality type of experience.? Atmosphere:Patio area is great, pup friendly and ready for the whole family.? Price:About $15-25 a person for plenty of food.
Recently visited this wonderful place and made a reservation to visit in October. Had a cheese steak which again was excellent. Cooked to perfection. The service was great from the very beginning of entry with the lovely man Peter at the door. The atmosphere of this place is beautiful and the place is full of charm. Don't consider it expensive as the food is of high quality. Will definitely come back again. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Service and atmosphere is great. If I was just rating the food though it would be 2/5 stars. The meat seems like it isn’t marinated and has no flavor unless you put loads of the store bought bbq sauce on it. The meat was watery and the bbq sauce was not good at all, but better to add that than have tasteless meat.Mac n cheese was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Beans and coleslaw were not homemade.I don’t like writing bad reviews because I loved the atmosphere and had a good experience while I was there (minus the food.)But from someone who comes from North Carolina which has some of the best BBQ, I am a really harsh critic and still have yet to find any good bbq here.
I ordered a two meat combo with ribs and tri tips with macaroni and cheese and a baked potato. The ribs and steak were fantastic! Tender and delicious. The mac needed more cheese sauce and was a little bland. The potato was... baked. (No notes for you spud) I'm sure the Mac varies from day to day. The meat was the star of the show which is as it should be. I will revist this restaurant for sure.
Ok update! I always say there is a first time for everything! Well there is also a LAST TIME FOR SOME THINGS this place falls under the LAST TIME! The ribs were very tough and the only flavor came from the loads of bbq sauce! The baked beans tasted as if they were poured straout of a can of pork & beans! As for the coleslaw they claim it to be creamy but it's not and it too has very little flavor! Not sure how they have 4.3 ⭐️ rating I would only give it 1 ⭐️ and that is for the service very friendly other than that a total flop!
Delish! The ribs were fall off the bone good. The mashed potatoes were like my own. Lots of garlic. And fresh cornbread muffins straight out of the oven and falling apart! We took our order to go but took the liberty to check the place out. Homey and warm ambience. Nothing flashy, and perfectly comfortable. This will be our stop for grub on the way back from the beach from now on!!!!
Mm. We really wanted to like it. It’s cute, it’s been around, but unfortunately it fell flat. Our tri tip sandwiches were made on a sad French roll, the meat was served very soggy (not saucy, but watery), cooked with no crust, no smokiness, not much tri tip flavor, it also was not cut against the grain so a bit tough. Their bbq sauce was a big let down. No peppery, no mustard, no vinegary even, 0 kick; basically a ketchup with a stronger tomato paste taste. Sides were good, Service was good. Basically a bbq diner lunch, a little notch up, with decent prices which is hard to find in LA these days; unfortunately the taste wasn’t quite there. NOT 4 stars. I’d give it 3 but this rating has got to get realistic.
Excellent BBQ, highly recommend the baby back ribs. the bbq sauce is killer, nothing compares! the outdoor seating is nice.
These people are so stingy with the food portions. We ordered four plates and they gave us three cornbreads and the wings we ordered were supposed to bring 8 but was missing 1. Ordered three orders of Mac and cheese and the Mac and cheese came in a small dipping up size plastic . The same size the bbq sauce comes in. I fully regret giving them a large tip.
