I love this place! The food is awesome and so are the drinks! I love the elote fries and grilled veggie sandwich! They have live music and dancing on certain weekends which is great! The service was excellent.
Great place on Greenleaf for beer and food. Sweet Asian Chili for wings is a winner. Burgers occasionally fall apart and fries are alright. Overall, a good experience.
just had dinner there with the Family & Friends tonight I had the restaurant Week special thie Salmon entreev with the oysters Rockefeller appetizer and it came with desert it was amazing loved the Oysters Rockefeller also keylime pie great service Nice restaurant
First timer here at Turnbull's Tavern, in Uptown Whittier. I have to say nice, pleasant atmosphere, super chill place.We sat at the bar area and have to say, it did have some crumbs from, I guess the previous customers. Bar tender was quick to clean that up when we asked if she would wipe that. Super nice lady, no issues.Food was delicious, sorry I can't remember the names but I'll post pictures. ?? from me?.I met the owner Ernie, totally down to earth kinda guy, very nice!!
To whom it may concern,I normally don't write reviews; the issue was that I did not get the service that should be a minimum requirement for every restaurant in the restaurant business. One of the issues was that my waitress had way too many table's I had to ask for different waiters / waitress to see if my food was ready after 30 minutes of waiting for my appetizer. My wife forgot her glasses at the table and they threw them away. The following day I tried contacting the business left my cell phone number multiple times for someone to contact me no one did I had to go into the restaurant to see if anybody has turned anything in. I know my wife personal effects we're left behind because after we left to a bar she was not wearing them I had only assume that she had them in her purse. Their focus is in customer operations it's get in and get out. Play some good music. Not worth $175 that I paid. Castaway gives way! better service for the same price at the TGR.

I'm out here in Whittier on a travel work contract. And decided to walk around and find some food.I'm so happy I landed at Turnbull's!!The service and staff were on top of it.I had a local Amber beer - which was recommended by my waitress and it was delicious.I did the Turnbull burger with fries - and it was the perfect burger with a little spice!12/10 would recommend!!
First time here, had 3 different wings, 2 different fries (buffalo and elote), Brussel sprouts, salmon, 2 burgers and blt's, GREAT FOOD. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend. Bread pudding is delicious.
Unfortunately the service wasn't great and after just ordering chips and they were stale we didn't stay to order anything else. Nothing personal just think they might be dealing with staffing issues like everyone else.
Really nice place
