I have visited this restaurant with my sister last night and our experience was terrible. We first took a chance on this restaurant due to the good reviews and promising menu. When we arrived, no one greeted us and we had to resort to finding someone on our own. We then were seated outside, which was barely lit and very dark. We had to wait a while for service even though there was only one other table dining. I ordered the gnocchi and my sister ordered the rigatoni along with a cheese pizza (the cheapest one on the menu). The pizza wasn't bad but our pastas tasted as if the sauce was canned and had no flavor. With only drinking water, we were charged $60. We left dissatisfied and hungry since we did not finish the food due to the unappetizing flavor. The only perks of this place is the live guitarist who was very nice to us and played lovely music. Avoid this place if you're looking for a good meal worthy of the price.

We literally found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to roll the dice. Having just left services at Rose Hills several of us were hungry. It’s a cute intimate Italian restaurant in Whittier. The staff was nice and polite and professional. The service great. We sat outside in the very nice patio/courtyard of the restaurant and it was very pleasant. The food was excellent as was the wine. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

My family and I came with high expectations of this restaurant. We had a reservation at 5pm, yet we still waited about 15 minutes to be seated, not to mention that it looked like they were nearly setting up the restaurant. We ordered three pizza and waited a little over an hour for our food. We also waited thirty minutes for water. The waiter also never apologized for the delay in our food or informed us they were short staff, we would have been more understanding. And we never got a manger to come talk to us

This place is amazing ...it's a bit hidden on Penn St. And worth going to. Amazing Italian food, beautiful courtyard, great wine list.

We celebrated a birthday with a small party of 14 people, so I he score is a consensus score with reviews of the dishes I tasted. We shared the calamari appetizer and Antipasto Di La Casa. Both were amazing, but definitely prefer the calamari. Light and flavorful. Antipasti was good, but not something i would typically order and was a group choice. As an entree, I ordered the linguine pescatore and loved it. Flavors were on point and had generous portions of fish, calamari and shell fish. The sauce was light and delicious. I forgot to order it spicy, but a scoop or two of chili flakes solved all that for me.I tried a bite of pizza which was good and the lasagna, which was really good. Old school deep flavors with lots of meat and cheese.Salads seemed to be fine. Two not so popular dishes were the Fettuccine con Pollo and Linguine Mare. The fettuccine was said to taste sour. I did try and understood the verdict, but thought it might be the asparagus or saffron that might be the culprit. Either way, I think it was meant to taste that way, but “sour” or not, not something Anyone of us would order again. The linguine was in a cream sauce and had different types of seafood. I prefer light red over cream sauces for seafood dishes like the one I ordered and I think my buddy now thinks the same :)The service was very pleasant and friendly, but slow. Maybe a bit overwhelmed with staffing shortages or something on a busy Sat night with a separate wedding and party along with dinner service. If they had a full bar, I would not have minded, but I can only drink so much wine :)Outdoor decor is very nice though. Thanks goodness it rarely rains in So Cal!!

The ambience is very nice. Not happy with the service, they took too long. All our dishes came out at different times. 15 to 20 minutes after a few meals. We wanted to eat together but couldn't. The bread was my favorite. Won't go there again.

Great place! Food is great for the price! The staff is very friendly. The complimentary bread is also one of the best I've tasted!

Food was OK. Veal was food. Vegetables were fresh and tasty. Potatoes were not flavorful at all. Horrible service. I ordered a side of pasta and waiter never came back to see if I needed anything. And should have checked to see if I got everything I needed. Wanted salt and pepper and waiter never came back to check on me. I was dining alone so not a lot of attention needed. Just service me like you would any other customer. .

Super slow kitchen. Wait staff very friendly and try to cover for the slow food prep but seriously. 2 hours waiting for our meals to be served. Won't go back. Food was good though, gotta say

It's a very nicely set up venue upstairs, downstairs. I only went to play there for a private event. Did not try any of their other services.
