It was good, but the dinner area was warm and the service was okay. I prefer the location in uptown Whittier. I actually had a waitress who took your order at the table. This location takes your order at the register. Seemed more fast food style. I was expecting the same experience as the uptown location. They have a much better customer service process. I even remember my server from that location...Jules
I just got the teriyaki chicken bowl and it was just ok, the chicken was a little rough but I still eat it because I was hungry. The menu is too overwhelming and I only like the outside patio because inside felt too cramped. I myself wouldn’t go back again but we all have different taste for the foods that we like, I usually try the most simplest of foods just to be fair but the food still wasn’t that tasty.
I love this place, very good food, always clean and very helpful employees.
Rolls were a bit chewy, menu numbers even confused the staff , the food temperatures are hit and miss. So-so at best. Sorry.

I bought two miso soups and they were both half empty and didnt have any tofu or seaweed i called and they said thats the way they come i told the girl i have bought miso soup there before and they have never been half empty
The food is nothing like it used to be. Sesame chicken overcooked, rice very sticky, tempura was too heavy on veggies.

If you want great service, and sushi, Maki Yaki Japanese grill is the place to come. Always made fresh and delicious. The friendliest and most helpful servers around town. I, really, love and enjoy this place. Mmmm good? TRY IT. You'll be missing out if you don't.
