Johnny's Shrimp Boat has got the best fried shrimp and fish in Whittier. I rate it a 5 out of 5. The tasty batter is crispy and not too thick. I usually get the 2 shrimp &2 fish w/fries for under $12. The menu has something for everyone. (Note: they have decent tarter sauce but don't have authentic cocktail sauce, is why I order take-out and keep a bottle of McCormick cocktail at home).This kitchen is well maintained and the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant. Shiny stainless steel all around The same and very polite staff have worked there for over 10 years and the dining area offers plenty of space for dining in despite the size. It's hard to block the glare on the menu photos because of the glass windows surrounding the restaurant. Enjoy!

Johnny's need I say more shrimp,rice and beans,fish and chips,french fries are delicious and fresh, and their red chile dipping sauce for the shrimp is fantastic.brings back memories when my pops used to take my mother, sister and I to the one in downtown which is now gone and so is my pop's! Keep up the delicious work!
My family and I have been going to Johnny Shrimp Boat since the early 80s. The food is fabulous! Excellent quality and quantity of food. The fish tacos are Delicious, the beans rice and gravy is their classic signature, and the shrimp taste great. Highly you recommend stopping by the shrimp boat for a meal.
I wanted 3 fish tacos with everything on the side they said it can't be done I guess it's to much effort to put it in a foil or plastic baggie for this plzce
