Excellent Food and Service! Our favorite Breakfast Bar none!

We’re trying out different places for breakfast. We’ve only tried 4, but right now my 2 favorites are Pam’s Place and Uncle Pete’s Cafe!!

My mother in law was in town and wanted to go somewhere for breakfast before hitting the road again. She mentioned wanting eggs Benedict so I thought of a few places that were local and decided on Pam’s since it was close and I had been here several times before. We arrived before the Sunday breakfast rush and seated ourselves on the outside patio. We were immediately brought menus and silverware. A server came and took our drink orders rather quickly and brought our drinks. After a few minutes looking over the menu, Pam came to take our order. I asked between 2 items, which one she would choose. She gave me a kind of dumb look and then responded with they were both good. Ok. I went with the Huevos rancheros and MIL got traditional eggs bennedict. The food came out quick and I took one look and was disappointed. The “ranchero sauce” looked like someone dump pace picante sauce on my plate. Then I realized she never asked how I wanted my eggs so they came over easy. I don’t eat runny eggs so I waited for someone to come ask if everything was ok. My mother in law cut into her meal and the poached eggs were over cooked. We should have swapped eggs!Well, nobody ever came to refill our coffee, water or ask how our meal was so I just ate the tortillas with potatoes and the little refried beans I was given. We never saw another server until they brought to bill.I would think Pam would be more cheery, friendly and outgoing if she was serving people but her careless attitude was rather disappointing.I know what NOT to order next time but I sure hope she finds some happiness in her business.

Giving Pam's 1 star based on our unfortunate experience with the employees. Wouldnt know.about the food as my friend and i were ignored for half an hour before we hit the road. I am a cafe owner, and to be completely disregarded is totally unacceptable. Let me also say eye contact was made a number of times with the employees. Nice Birthday

Love this place. It's a hidden treasure with yummy food and a great atmosphere! I love the eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. My husband loves the chilaquiles and kiddos love the pancakes. Always great service and delicious food.

Not sure about the grouch with the one star review. I can probably guess just by the need to identify the server as female. That describes pretty much all of the wait staff. I am just happy that Pam’s usually has enough wait staff given what has been happening the last couple of years. I have no complaints, but I am not one to put unrealistic expectations on these types of dining establishments. If you want Norm’s prices, then go there. You will not have the same quality of ingredients. If you hail from a fancier neighborhood, then temper your snobbishness or stay in your hood. Pam’s is consistent, friendly and staffed by friendly people, including the owner. Pam serves and interacts with guests, which is something I always like to see.

Great little diner, nice hostess, and good portion meals. They have a nice outdoor dining area too, with a nice breeze. Checkout if you’re looking for a good American brunch!

This is no way to run a restaurant! "Pam" and/or her wait staff and likely the kitchen crew treat this like their little coffee klatch. Wait staff and kitchen crew were too busy with their conversations in the back of the restaurant to recognize they had customers. We waited for 30 minutes after menus were dropped off before we saw a (female) server. Another twenty minutes and she took our order using a tablet of some sort, hopefully she got the order right and had a record of it. Nearly another thirty minutes went by and finally food was served, short of the complete order! I thought she would be back shortly for the rest of the food, but NO! Even after another server came back with coffee refills and a request to complete the order. My host had to go into the restaurant to get the check and refuse to pay for food that wasn't delivered. Thankfully, Pam's did not add that order to the bill.I recommend that if you are a friend of "Pam" please go to visit and chat with her and her friends posing as employees. If you want a nice outdoor breakfast with good food and service, go elsewhere. Nearly any place other than Pam's. Next for me is a post on Yelp.

Their biscuits and gravy were bland and boring even with the side order of patty sausage I ordered had to be sent back under cooked. They did do a nice job on the hot water for my tea though!

Good location for some good American breakfast. A nice place with friendly staff. This is the sort of restaurant where the know their locals and care about them.My family loves eating here when we eat breakfast out.
