Michael's Kitchens Fish&Chips are ALWAYS fresh and fabulously delicious, including his must have HOMEMADE clam chowder, coleslaw, zucchini and tartar sauce.

Went here today june 12 2022. 11:35 it still close.

Whatcha out for this guy he charges extra for everything without telling you do not go there very bad

owner was super kind and so helpful! food was great definitely recommend coming here instead of getting fast food.

He never gives me enough tarter sauce even if I order extra he only gives me two and barley puts any in it I make the mistake of sending other people due to mobility issues to pick up my order and they forget to check then when you call to complain he acts like he does not understand you

Michaels is one of those places that if you're from the area you know has been around for a very long time, but you may never have stopped in. That was the case for me.Actually I have stopped in before, but I think it was still an H Salt fish and chips location at the time. Anyway I digress. Michael's fish and chips is a very plain little place in a large Strip Center. The man behind the counter, who I assumed was not named Michael, was very friendly. I ordered the 3-piece fish and chips and a can soda. The total came up to $11 and change. I watched him as he hand-battered the fish. I didn't ask what kind but I assumed it was cod. We talked as the fish and chips were frying. He told me he uses only peanut oil which I know is a excellent oil for frying, and cooks at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I took my order to go and was a little surprised that I had to pay $0.50 for tartar sauce oh, but what the heck he's a small businessman, at least packets of malt vinegar were free. As I walked out I realized I had forgotten to ask for ketchup but seeing that the cook had disappeared to a spot behind the counter I decided to walk into the Del Taco next door and pretend I forgot to get ketchup for my drive-thru order. It always works. I drove to a nearby shaded spot to enjoy my lunch. The fish and chips were good at best but nothing to really write home about. The texture of the batter was more like that of a corn dog then I was expecting and the fries although golden brown didn't really seem to have that crispiness I was looking for. The bottom line is if you have a real Jones for fish and chips are in the in the area it's worth a try but I'm not making a second visit

Food has gone down hill. The fish fillets are three times smaller than other area fish & chips place, the jumbo shrimp is 1/2 the size of other places. Owner Michael charges now .50 cents for one really small tarter sauce, like maybe two table spoons. If you want more tarter, even more. If you want cole slaw instead of fries, he upcharges that too. Lastly, he phone quotes a price $5.99 #1 combo but you pay $

I see a sign that said 3 fish and chips for $7.00 I go inside order tells me $9.78 I asked the guy I thought it was $7 oh no he said its $7.99 and $1 more for 3 table spoon full of tarter sauce. (who charges xtra for tarter sauce?) I went home look in my very light bag and found 3 greasy fish and 22 piece of fries. Very misleading and dishonest place. Going to call city about deceitful business tactic.

This is a place I go for takeout every once in awhile to get their fish & chips. The owner is always friendly and happy to see you. The zucchini, cole slaw and clam chowder are pretty good, too. Reasonably priced as well.
