Really cool find in Thousand Oaks. I liked the idea of trying some Asian fusion dishes. I tried the Thai Mein which had some really good flavors. My wife tried the sushi which seemed on par to other good sushi restaurants. Our servers were really kind and attentive. There is a nice outside patio with heat Ed and really cool indoor seating if you prefer that. I could definitely see myself coming back to this restaurant. If you are in the area give it a try!
The sushi is surprisingly really good. The thai food is delicious and authentic. Service is really good.
This sounded very healthy and I so much wanted to love it. The rice had a very funny aftertaste and the chicken was very bland. I was very hungry so I ate it but I would not return
I’ve had the kimchi fried rice three times, the Singapore noodles, and curry chicken fried rice. My bf has had the crispy chicken over rice 4 times. It has always been very tasty and consistent! The fried rices have been spicy, but delicious. Would definitely recommend.
An extremely tasty meal from a menu with surprising depth! Each of the dishes we had from Roast and Rice were a unique and flavorful experience (with generous portions)- a pleasant surprise in an area where fast food and bland taste are rampant. It’s rare you find a restaurant that serves such a fusion of cuisines, and does it well! Something for everyone on this menu, covering Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Indian cuisines.Dishes we had: Dipping Roti with Curry, Kimchi Fries, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Spicy Basil with Eggplant, Soft Shell Crab Burger, Roasted Chicken Over Rice. The roasted chicken over rice was our favorite! The Pineapple fried rice was a sleeper hit (chicken, pineapple, raisins, and curry are a great combo). And the Pad Thai was solid as any!Kudos to the owners (of the now closed Prawn and Basil) for bringing more good food and a pallet expanding experience to Westlake Village, best of luck, we’ll certainly be back. One tip to management, figure out a way to improve your website’s SEO! The website doesn’t come up when you Google “Roast and Rice”.
I went here for lunch with my son today . The service was bit slow as I am sure they are short staff just like any other business these days . We had spicy beef salad and chicken Tom yum soup (as we are trying to cut carbs ) , They were both delicious . We would definitely come back .
I really loved the Tom Ka Noodle Soup. I picked spicy, but I wish it needed more spice, but overall I love it.
Awesome menu options! Food was fantastic! Service was great and the place was very clean. Highly recommend.
