Party of 5 for dinner. One glass of wine, two mixed drinks, two appetizers, one small salad, and 5 entrees for 250$ before tip. Meh. Not a lot of protein in any of the entrees, flavors not very robust. Service chaotic. I’d rather save that kind of money for Mastros, where quality ingredients and attentive service matter. Go to Yelp and read some of the owner responses to their not-great reviews. They are very snotty, casting aspersions on customers, as if they have no sense, are crazy, don’t appreciate “authentic” Italian food, etc. These are people who paid good money to patronize is place, yet the owners turn it around as if they can do no wrong, and all blame lies with the customer. If you choose to go to this establishment, be ready to just take what they let you have and be happy about it, or else they’ll insult you with aplomb. This place will certainly fail with that attitude. They probably crap on their vendors, too.

I love this place! Best Italian food period. The chef and owner, Antonio is from Naples and is kind, thoughtful and super talented!I cannot recommend it more! My son loves the homemade gnocchi that he asks for with ragu’. Everyone loves the pizza and I adore the it salads. There’s truly something for everyone.It’s not a fast food Italian , so it’s not cheap, but it’s fair when you know that the chef goes to the market and handpicks everything fresh and the quality go the ingredients is superb!

Fine cuisine, real Italian and non-Italian American to delight and please your taste buds. Prices and service, suitable for the quality of food. Unassuming yet eloquent, this is the place for both special occasions or a night of fine dining. It can easily be a "go-to" restaurant, as you want quality Italian food and hospitality.
Definitely the best Italian restaurant in the Conejo Valley. A creative menu with some excellently prepared dishes, amazing homemade pasta, and wood fired pizza. The branzino is probably the best I've had anywhere. They also have some truly great wines in reserve and a wonderful and inviting staff make this place truly a gem. Do yourself a favor and get a table here!

We always like to support smaller businesses such as Made in Italy Bistro. My wife and I have been there 3 times now. Our last two encounters were not good. Although the service ad staff are great, the food and prices are not. Our second visit, where we picked up pizzas to take to my Moher-In-Laws were dry and the gluten free crust was very overcooked. Our last, most recent visit, was last weekend, we ate there. I had a capelletti special and my wife had gluten free tagliatelle pasta withe a mushroom-sausage sauce. My dinner was fine but to have s=six or seven stuffed pasta for 24.50 was a bit too pricey---19-20 max would be better. My wife's dinner cost 30.50 (+3 for gluten free) and the sausage was not good, Italian sausage----my wife is Italian and knows her foods. The total bill with our salad (no drinks, just water) was 77 dollars without the tip. The price exceeds those of some of our finer dining Italian restaurants in the area. Too bad, the bistro has a nice, small biz, Italian feel but the food quality and prices will stop us from going again.

What a delicious lunch spot! This is truly the best place for a quick bite. Their plates are huge and they give you more than enough food, which is great to take home! Highly recommend!
