the burgers are just amazing ???
Best bet is to order in advance by phone or internet. They have misters but the food takes a minute if you are a walk up. At the height of the Pandemic, they used old fashioned car hops. But no more…
Long time customers, always the same great burgers, BLTs n shakes, especially fresh banana. A must visit in West Sacramento. Well worth the wait.
Whitey's Always Has A Good Burger! They Kind Of Skimped On The Onion Rings One Thing Ring Inside The Fried Batter Was Disappointing I Wanted To Taste Onions! Next Time I Will Check Them On That One. Still A Great Place To Eat!
A trip to Whitey’s is like stepping back in time—in the best way. I ordered a Whitey’s Special, fries, onion rings, and a Butterfinger ice cream (I think they call it a “Freeze”). Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. A little backstory: I’d been trying to come here for a while, but every time I stopped by they were either closed or the lot was jam packed with people. Finally got in a couple weeks back and it was definitely worth it. I would take Whitey’s over In N Out any day — same style burger with way more flavor and character. Can’t wait to go back soon.
Burger was smaller than I expected, but it was good. They also have plenty of meal options, and their curly fries were nice and crispy.
This is a vintage well-established spot in West Sacramento. This is a car hop spot. There is no indoor dining because there is no indoor. Only limited benches outside with little or no covering to stay out of the weather. On the weekends this place is closed so ironically that's when the old cars show up. Also during Christmas time this place has a tree lot on it. You can expect the basics burgers fries milkshakes. The menu is pretty simple but the food is good and the milkshakes are delicious.
Just ok, nothing special. You're pretty much buying a "nostalgic burger," served in an old-timey burger shack from a bygone era. I purchased the Whitey Special, and the taste was underwhelming. Got a side of chili cheese fries, which also fell flat; I've had tastier chili cheese fries from snack bars at little league games. The staff however is the true highlight of this place. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Parking is minimal and often is jam packed around lunch. Again, my overall taste experience, just...MEH ?
best old fashioned hamburgers in Sacramento and Yolo Counties. their food is always hot, fresh and made to order. I've eaten most of their menu and it's all good. milkshakes are awesome.
The burgers here are fabulous! Old school taste and preparation. Also, Try their deep fried burritos they are delicious. But you might want two or three of you are really hungry. And the deep fried zucchini is tasty with their ranch - but get texts ranch as the containers for the ranch are super small.
