Our foods was amazing. We ordered both the chicken and beef/lamb platters. The meat was tender, the rice was soft and light. We also ordered a side of the falafel; it was so crunchy we regretted not getting a second order. Although we were just passing through Sacramento-we will definitely be ordering again when we are close by. Their food was a highlight of our road trip.

Love the new gyro based menu! I've had the lamb/beef gyro a few times now, and it's good!!

A very good gyro (I ordered lamb), with a really friendly staff. I will definitely be frequenting this establishment much more often.

This place is good. Fries were hot and fresh when I got them. The cheeseburger was pretty good. They add some special sauce on the burger and the patty size for the burger is pretty decent. The taste of the patty is okay. A little overcooked but it's not bad. The buns for the burgers are pretty soft and good just don't like how it has like some sort of powder on it. The price for it is reasonable just for a burger and a fry under 10 dollars is pretty good in my opinion. Overall like a 8/10

Some of the BEST burgers that you'll sink your teeth into! The place is in West Sacramento and I drive all the way from Southeast Sacramento just to come here. No disappointment at all! ??

If I could leave a o star, i would!!! Can’t complain about food it’s good and really tasty, but the people who work there is so slow and rude! Got yelled today for no reason!!! The owner should look at the employees and train them with a good customer service if they want more customers! I don’t think i will personally return there to get any food!!!!

Hefty Burgers (soon to become Capitol Gyro) makes decent, serviceable burgers of a broad variety of types. They also have a number of non-burger options like gyros and chicken sandwiches. Their chicken sandwiches are Halal, and just like any place that serves Halal menu items, their chicken is quite good. The fries are nice and crispy, and maintain crispiness for about an hour before they turn into the flaccid potato darts we all know and loathe. By comparison, McDonald's fries go limp within about 15 minutes, so these folks have their french fry game locked down. All their items are firmly middle-of-the-road fare: not outstanding, but decent, and superior to most chain restaurants. Their one failing is that they are incredibly slow, but given that they're making their stuff by hand, and their restaurant floor is closed for renovation (though the drive-thru is still open), it's forgivable. Be prepared for a wait, though. Ordering at the speaker is probably not going to cost you any more time than doing a DoorDash pick-up.

Meh, it was ok but not great. Service was lacking and unfriendly. Ordered the low carb, meat was over cooked quite a bit to being hard/tough, no cheese (didn’t realize this was one of those places that you have to specifically ask for cheese, would’ve been nice to have been asked if I wanted to add).

I've been coming here for 21 years. Its an old Pioneer Chicken restaurant building. The burgers are a great value for mom and pops and taste awesome. Fries always hot.
