We arrived for a 5pm reservation and the restaurant was inexplicably closed? Many other folks were gathered outside waiting confused as well.
Looks good but tastes bad , Very cheap meat and cooked incorrectly , Do not recommend

Very laid back environment. Cool crowd and food is top notch. Tuna Tartine and grilled shrimp is a must.

Delicious food and impeccable service. Outside seating on the converted sidewalk was not ideal but served the purpose.
Zinque is a cute LA bistro with nice ambiance, but the food was not great. I am one to give the benefit of doubt when possible, but we had three courses of pretty tasteless dishes. The appetizer of artichoke hearts was tough and overcooked, and the spicy chicken wing sauce tasted like ketchup. The entree bowls we had were just okay. Hoping that the chefs may read this and make some changes- the ambience is really nice and the restaurant could be awesome. But, the bottom line is that a restaurant in a place with as much competition as LA has to bring its “A” food game, and this was more like a C minus.
The vibes and ambience is amazing. The people are so nice and seat you immediately. The menu is very diverse however most of the dishes are similar and bland. It’s extra for most proteins and not enough. Also, the coffees are not amazing, so go for the food and breakfast not coffee.
Nice place for lunch (I have never been for dinner!). You order at the cashier and go to your table with a number, the waiter brings your food over within minutes. My go to dish here is “le bowl” with Ahi Tuna. Just the right amount of spicy: delicious!!!
Food is always so yummy! Will always come back to Zinque!
