Really good sushi. slower paced eating experience to enjoy the food and atmosphere
I call it comfort food but... i love unagi and this place does it as close to as in Japan... and for those not keen on unagi, there are other dishes very delicious.. their sashimi are fresh and the Homemade tofu is so refreshing and good.. most of all , i love the people there... so friendly and professional... a very pleasant place to go and feel almost like you are in Japan
The unagi is exceptionally good!
This place is a hidden gem. So good. Very traditional Japanese cuisine. This restaurant provides a celebration be of Unagi. If you like Japanese eel then you should try this place for sure. And the service and attention to detail are perfect. All the staff are Japanese too. Fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.
We didn’t have the unagi, but can’t wait to come back and try it!! We ordered the chef’s special (sushi) and the tataki. We also got one of the daily specials: the Seabass. There is a limited menu, as they specialize moreso in the unagi, but if you appreciate authentic it’s a must! We will be back.
I never thought I'd see this kind of restaurant in LA: gourmet unagi dons. I've been to Japan and had these at Kyoto on two occasions, and always thought they were some of the best foods I've had in life, though very expensive. Finally, a Japanese eel restaurant that specializes in eel rice bowls has come to LA in the form of Toku Unagi, a popular chain in Japan.
Delicious eel, impeccable service, and a beautiful ambience. Will be back.
Amazing new spot esp for the eel and specialty beers ⚡⚡⚡

This is a chain in Japan that recently expanded overseas. They specialize in unagi and it's probably the best in all of Los Angeles. Can recommend the Matsu level of unagi which they import from Shizuoka. The Panna Cotta was made with a sansho pepper glaze which was something I had never imagined in a dessert but it works and is super delicious.
