The best menu items..Food and Service were great
Awesome low key breakfast/lunch shack located in the busy and fancy downtown area. The inside looks straight out of a movie from the 60's. Service was a great and prices were fair. I went with chicken and waffles. Chicken was surprisingly crispy and the waffle was made with eggs and bacon inside of it which was very unique. We took a chocolate milkshake to go. Check this place out for a lunch in the unique Beverly hills area.Cheers
$12.95 for these sad looking Mozzarella Sticks come on really? Denny's are so much better. I also ordered The Impossible Burger and get this, no dressing at all, they just give you the patty with lettuce, tomatoes and good luck... Whaaaaaaaaat. So I got one beyond dry burger $17.75 come on. Things have changed at this restaurant. Sad ?.....
Fantastic! Great food, super service, and super friendly staff. Nicely decorated in all 50s style. At every table there is a jukebox where you can play your own music for 25 cents. I definitely recommend Mels drive in! I'll definitely come back here when I'm in LA again.
Ignore the negative reviews! We went today 04/30/22, in the am. It was great from start to finish. We seated ourselves and we ordered the beef sandwich with gravy jus and the spicy chicken sandwich. Both amazing fresh, tasty and good quality. The fries were also hot crisp and fresh. The vanilla milkshake is a must. Good service too. Forgot to mention the crispy onion rings. What a delight
We walked into this place to the sound of everyone singing to the music on the jukebox. It was a great trip back to the 50s. The food was delicious and the place was fun. The staff was so friendly and great. So fun.
I love the history of this establishment. I visited 11pm. The staff was so friendly. The food was great and the ambiance brought a smile to my face. It took me back in time.
The food was delicious! I had a Reuben with sweet potato fries - awesome! My husband had a ham and cheese omelette with potatoes and he enjoyed them. They have a juke box at the table that plays songs throughout the restaurant, great experience!
Service was ok, after I paid & tipped, never saw her again. Was a kitsy kinda place, fun looking. Bacon was tough, not crispy as ordered, eggs way overdone, hashbrowns deep fried?? Toast was good. Sorry Mel’s, you missed on this one, hopefully this is a one off.
Great people watching spot on Santa Monica Blvd. Got the classic Mel burger ? gluten free style. Don’t expect anything out of the ordinary; they just lay the gf bread onto the patty without mayo. Nothing special. The fries are good!
