Came here for a celebration with a few friends. Lovely place. Great service and the food was good, not amazing but good. The drinks were impressive and I would recommend that you at least give this place a try when you are in the area. If you get a chance, try out the Uova Napoletana - one of my favorites.
So good!! We tried a little bit of everything. The pizza was delicious perfect to share. And the steak was delicious too. Cooked perfectly. Also their specialty cocktails were very tasty too. I would highly recommend this restaurant. New and in a good location. Close to nightlife and great place overall.
This meal was insane, over the top. There’s great people watching, it’s a great place to take a group, food is good, drinks were delicious. Get the meatball. There’s a reason it’s a staple. Vodka pasta was Al dente and delicious. And 20 layer cake was perfect.
Really fun atmosphere, lively but not so loud you can’t hear yourself. Great cocktails, solid wine list. The food is surprisingly good Italian/comfort. Steaks are very well executed too. Pastas are a bit hit and miss but the Gnudi were terrific the night I was there. Service is fun and professional and while its not cheap, it’s not outrageous either.
My friend was able to get a reservation and it’s their first month open so of course I wanted to try it out.Just be aware that Parking is either valet or self park across the street in a indoor garage for about $25.I started off with a Komos Tequila on the rocks because they were out of Casamigos while my friends got the old fashioned and they all loved and raved about it.The table vegetable starter(asparagus and other veggies) were great but the house made olive oil was next level. The Calamari was excellent, not the best I’ve had, but top five of all time. The Black truffle pizza was on top of its game because that was probably the best appetizer of all.I had Grilled Branzino entree. It was cooked & seasoned perfectly. The fish was very tender, no bones and the skin was very crispy. My friend got the Dry age steak and I got two pieces and it was excellent, very flavorful and perfectly cooked too. I’d definitely order that next time. For desert we got the Tiramisu & the 20 layer Chocolate cake with peanut butter. Both were excellent and my favorite was the tiramisu, but the cake was still very spectacular. We met the executive Chef Kevin to compliment him on the food and he also gave us the three deserts that I believe weren’t on the menu. They were Triple Sorbet, Pistachio cake, & Caramel salt Ice cream. All three without a doubt we’re amazing and should be on the menu if they already aren’t.It was an overall excellent dining experience, great customer service by our server Christoph and thank you to Nina also for setting up a magnificent night. I highly recommend going to this spot and we’ll be back soon!
Really happy this place opened in LA, big fan of the NY and Vegas ones. That said, we enjoyed the pizzas, cocktails and various items but I felt the pastas were lacking flavor.I'd come back but I was expecting a bit more based on my other experiences.
Had the most amazing experience for my sisters birthday last night. Service was great, food was delicious. TAO group is always on top of it with the best hospitality ever.
My girlfriends and I were here to celebrate a 50th birthday. The place is beautifully designed. The food was exceptional. I'm giving this a 1 star due to the following experience. Our food server was not pleasant and borderline unfriendly. When she gave us the bill, we were astonished to see that a portion of our bill included ONE glass of pinot grigio for $70, TWO glasses of prosecco for $64, and 2 iced teas for $10. We politely asked her to clarify the charges as we thought the drinks we ordered from the menu were a lot less . She came back with a revised bill, less $70 for the overcharged glass of pinot grigio. However, she insisted that each glass of prosecco cost $32. At this point, we didn't want to go back and forth arguing about that and for the ONE (not 2) iced teas we ordered as it was a moot point that would have dampened the whole celebratory mood.I realize that this restaurant is part of the TAO franchise and they have a reputation to uphold as a hospitality and entertainment giant. Since this whole experience left such a bad taste in my mouth, I made a promise to myself that if I had a choice in future restaurant engagements, I would avoid giving patronage to this company as they lack integrity in the quality of their hospitality, staff, and overpriced drinks. To me, the whole experience was about how to squeeze every dime from its customers. Very reminiscent of a Las Vegas hotel experience. It's an absolute racket!!!
The setting is beautiful but the food wasn’t anything special. Our waitress was great but the rest of the staff seemed fairly new and inexperienced. It’s a crowd here to see and be seen and the price reflects that rather than the quality
This is the best new restaurant in California. The restaurant was recommended by a friend whose work allows him to travel the world and try new restaurants. He was not wrong. The service, environment and the food were incredible!!
