The 1 Hotel has a great location in weho, is walkable to many popular restaurants and shops. Hotel amenities are also wonderful - eco friendly design, great pool, and rooftop bar. Work friendly lobby area too.
Honestly the best hotel in WeHo! If you’re looking for a calm and restful retreat after a long day of shopping and seeing LA, this is the vibe you need. Extremely polite and considerate staff. They remember me every time I visit and always make me feel right at home. Five stars :)
My husband and I stayed at 1 West Hollywood for 3 days and I wished we would have stayed longer. The design of the rooms and hotel is amazing, the service is outstanding and the team at 1 West Hollywood is going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We'll definitely be back and will recommend your hotel to all our friends and family.
Very relaxed, laid back hotel. Service on point. Theodore is exceptional. The valet team is very professional. Beds are comfortable. There is nothing crazy about this hotel, all the colors are pleasant. Finally location is ideal. For me atleast.
I gave my review earlier. I feel we should have been compensated for the inconvenience. No one cares that much I guess. We liked it there in previous visits. Wish we had a better experience because we would come more often
We just got back from a weekend at this hotel, celebrating our anniversary. We paid around $800/night for our room. We found some members of the staff poorly trained, unfriendly or unprofessional, the pricing absurd and the service poor. - We asked for assistance with a dinner reservation and were told to handle it ourselves by the concierge. - We went into the restaurant by the lobby to check out the menu on the wall for Bluestone lane out of curiosity and a staff member walked by quickly and uttered rudely: "it's closed!!!" (which was obvious, we were just curious to check out the menu for the following day). He should have said, "Hello, we are closed but is there anything I can assist you with?" - We sat in the downstairs lounge for 10 mins before we were able to flag the attention of a waiter to came over as they were all in the corner chatting and not looking out at the floor. This was around 5pm and we wanted to order a coffee. We were told that they turn their machine off at 4pm and that if I wanted a coffee I would need to order room service. We ended up going up to the pool, where I asked for a coffee and was told I could only order an iced coffee because the espresso machine was broken. Finally I went to the room, ordered a coffee and when it was delivered, I was handed a bill for $21 for an almond milk latte. - At the kiosk by the pool they sell fruit/berries to go. I asked if the fruit box was organic and the response was, "Um, I think so, we make it fresh every day." Train your staff to know what you are selling. Packaging fruit doesn't make it organic. - We were told that we had a $100AMEX credit at check in, no restrictions were communicated to us except that we couldn't use this credit at third party restaurants like Harriets or Madeo. So, we took an 88 acres granola bar ($15) and a small bag of chips ($11) from the mini room bar that we were charged for. We figured we had credit so we took snacks for the road (never in our right minds would we have paid $28 for a granola bar + chips), but ultimately were informed after check out that the $100 AMEX credit does not count toward anything from the mini bar. - We had a dirty napkin on the floor of our bathroom when we arrived. - No one offered to help with our luggage. - Our AMEX card allows for late 4pm check out but our room key card stopped working at 12pm so we had to go back to reception to re-activate it. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel has lost it's mind charging $21 for coffee, $15 for a granola bar... when ordering room service over the phone the price should have been communicated. The $100 amex credit restrictions should have been discussed at check in. Can we afford the extra expenses? Yes. But do we know the value of money? Yes! Not only are they ripping their customers off but the level of service you are receiving at this hotel is akin to a 3 star hotel for $200 a night. What are the better options in LA? The Edition and the SM Proper.
The 1Hotel West Hollywood was outstanding in every respect. Wonderful, welcoming staff, a very comfortable lobby foyer and large, well appointed rooms. This hotel is to be highly recommended for business or leisure travellers.
