Spend half my year in LA and half in NYC. Grew up in the Midwest with “Detroit style” pizza. The pizza here is good. But very!!! expensive. In NYC we order from a “Detroit style” pie place (Sicilian style more accurately) which is the ONLY pizza place in the city to have a star from The NY Times - and the price is 1/3 of the price here. So - no lie - the pie here is good. But it’s also criminally overpriced.

I reviewed dtown pizzeria recently on the Phorage page so I'll return the favor and post my Phorage review here now that I've had time to come back and try their menu.If you didn't know, Phorage and dtown pizzeria share the same kitchen and dining room. Two great menus under one roof!Beef Pho - 5 ?!Pork Banh Mi - 5 ?!Excellent meal with fresh, high quality ingredients. The banh mi baguette was a perfect balance of soft and chewy but also a touch crunchy. The pho broth was rich and flavorful. For a restaurant using two very different menus, they do a fantastic job with both.

Let me know if you find better Detroit-style pizza in LA than here at Dtown! Will be back to try the burrata/pesto combo.

Hands down best pizza in the world.. ever… they can back that up since they won the best pan pizza award at the pizza expo which had challengers from all over the world.Detroit style pizza has a crispy square crust. Here they use all fresh ingredients and bake a pizza to perfection. My go to is the goomba + I add mushrooms and onions. The truffle pizza is amazing. They added their championship pizza which includes wagyu beef as a topping.Go there, try it, enjoy it ?

Best pizza in a while! We had pepperoni. I had their chili oil with it.. which made it spicy but oh so good! You will not be disappointed!

OMG double that OMG, OMG I heard about D-Town on Channel 5 News so I was in the area and I had to try D town it's so funny because every now and again I do go to the Trader Joe's right across the way never even noticed D-Town! (Sorry!) I did not know what pizza to order I wanted to try them all! So I ordered 4 different pies!!! *Life is Truff 2020 * DBM Dtown *The Goomba and * Midtown Meat. All 4 pies amazing!!! The person that took my order was awesome I asked him so many questions! The person that gave me my pizzas very nice, thank you! Thank you Ryan for your culinary skills and a OMG experience, I will be back!!!!!?FRANCINE

Best pizza around. Been in and out of LA my whole life and we are die hard dtown pizza fans. 1946 pizza with a half order of breadsticks are our go-to for Friday/Saturday nights. Try it out, you will not be disappointed with the Chicago style pizza. ?

I LOVE the pizza here, the pepperoni one is delish. Crust is always perfectly crisp at the ends. I never leave reviews but wanted to show these guys love for their yummy Detroit style pizza.

Finally!!!!!!! This is the gluten free crust everyone talks about! You've never really witnessed it but you've heard that it does exist!! Like a mythical GF unicorn! Doughy and absolutely delicious!!! 10/10 my friends!!! GF to the next level. Real deal. I'll be back. ?

If you love pan pizza then Detroit style pizza is the way to go and if you live in Hollywood or West Hollywood this is the place. It’s small details like fennel pollen and quality ingredients that set this place apart. The single pizza is the perfect size for two people.
