Honestly, sometimes I go workout around here just to finish up with their smoothie. Such a great selection and while I haven’t tried their juices or bowls yet, their smoothies taste soooo good (specifically the cocoberry acai & peanut butter dream). They have a good selection of add-on proteins powders (some vegan ones) that don’t have a weird aftertaste and are high quality ingredients. Plus- great customer service! I ordered ahead from some app online and they guy at the counter told me that if I order directly from their app (didn’t even know they had one) it’s cheaper! Lastly, the icing on the cake is that they use strong durable paper straws which i love. Will always come back here.
4/5 for the food - tastes very protein-like, but still yummy!0/5 stars for the wait - minimum 30-45 minutes or longer2/5 stars for the staff - hit or miss, usually unpleasant interactions***IF YOU ARE ORDERING IN PERSON, EXPECT TO WAIT****I used to come here a lot (10+ times already as of today), but it has gotten to the point where if I decide to order something, I need to plan out a minimum of 30 minutes or more if I'm ordering a smoothie, and a minimum of 45 minutes or more if I'm ordering an açaí bowl. And I need to prepare myself mentally if the interaction is going to be okay or unpleasant (it's usually unpleasant)... which is interesting because you CANNOT see what I look like with my hat, sunglasses, and mask on. Or maybe they think I'm weird because my face is covered and that's why they are unpleasant to me. Who knows.ANYWAY, they always seem to be understaffed when I come. Sometimes when I am waiting to order, no one acknowledges me until I am standing there 5+ minutes. So why do I come? That's a good question.Their smoothies are good, tasty, but more protein-like. I appreciate how you can decide between vegan or whey protein, sweetened or unsweetened.Their strawberry açaí bowls are yummy, but also keep in mind they taste more protein-like compared to Nekter Juice Bar, Kreation, or Backyard Bowls in the area.This is conveniently located on Santa Monica Blvd next to Starbucks, across the street from Sprout's grocery store/SWEAT yoga/24 hour fitness. I used to come here after working out, but haven't been in a while because of the unpleasant interactions and long wait times.You do get "points" for having your phone #/email on file and oh goodness, that was an entire ordeal when I first signed up. The staff member who signed me up messed up ONE number on my phone# and it took 3 different staff members to correct it (a male manager ended up finally fixing it).I just prefer not to come here anymore. Which I am sure they don't care because they get a lot of business anyway. But if I do in the future, maybe I will bring a friend so we can chit chat and catch up because the wait is very long. And I suppose it would be nice to have a friend for company during those unpleasant interactions.
Use to love this place but for whatever reason it takes 25 mins to get a smoothie consistently. They need to figure out out how to streamline service.
Mind Body Energy has a lot of tasty smoothies, and the staff at most locations are pretty knowledgeable and friendly.However, the service is incredibly slow. Several times, I've waited 20+ minutes for a smoothie. But once, I ordered ahead of time, and even though it said the smoothie would be ready in 30 minutes, it wasn't ready for another 45 minutes after that.Although the smoothies are great, really, it's just not worth the gamble of going there and waiting who knows how long to get it.
THE SMOOTHIES HERE ARE SO GOOD. Even the ones with nasty and healthy ingredients came out super tasty !! Will definitely make this my go to smoothie spot !!
Worst customer service experience we've ever had. Could the staff be more incompetent? We won't ever know because this is our last time going here. Had us wait around for 45 minutes saying it will be ready in 10 minutes and then will bring it out in 1 minute. FINALLY we ask again and guess what? He pulls it out of the fridge as it's been sitting in there the entire time. Why was this so frustrating? Because no less than 15 people got their orders AFTER us and they just had to wait around until there was literally no one else in the building. The guy who brought it out of the fridge is the guy who told us it wasn't ready yet even though it was just sitting there for over 30 minutes.
Customer service was excellent and staff was very knowledgeable. I think if you're concerned about quality of ingredients and a well put together smoothie, then this is the place for you.There were a couple of folks ahead of me but the smoothies took quite some time to prepare. I think it was probably an anomaly but my smoothie was slightly chunky with unblended bits. Those 2 reasons impacted my experience.
