This is an ideal location for anyone traveling into LA / Hollywood area. Its centrally located to many attractions (Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, etc.). The rooms were spacious, clean and had great views. The rooftop pool and bar was beautiful. The onsite restaurant offered fantastic breakfast, diverse menu selections and plenty of options for my kids as well.Beyond the location and atmosphere, the staff was great also! Walter Rivers, the front desk host, was very polite and helpful. Upon arrival he Walter was very welcoming; he assisted my family of six with an early check in, provided tips on local attractions and dining options.I HIGHLY recommend Andaz West Hollywood for the accommodations, location and staff to everyone.
I have stayed here two other times and my third visit was not as positive as my previous visits. This past visit, elevators were constantly not working. This also occurred on my second stay here so it seems to be a reoccurring issue. At times, it could take awhile to be able to get down to the lobby and we had to use alternate elevators that were confusing to access. The air conditioning in the room did not seem to be working to full capacity and I was very hot at night time despite being on the lowest setting. In addition, the pool is a wild party on Saturday and Sunday with events being held there. It was almost impossible to even use the pool due to these events and it would have been nice to know that they host these parties so we would have known to expect that the pool isn’t really usable while staying on weekends. Feeling pretty frustrated that we were not given information on the pool which impacted a lot of our stay. The pool was better on the weekdays we staying here. I historically loved staying here but will unfortunately be picking a different hotel in the future.
Best location to explore Los Angeles, close to everything. A lot of places to eat and shop around. Close proximity to tourist traps and else..Check in was easy, room was clean, decor was modern, everything worked in the room, elevator was fast.Breakfast menu could be improved, due to their bakery items not being made in house, sometimes those items arrives later than early morning. Valet personnel are very attentive, also text to retrieve the car is fast and easy.
This is a return trip to the Andaz and it’s become our must stay hotel when we are in Los Angeles. The rooms are nice, but the vibe of the hotel is what keeps us coming back. The rock and roll history, the VIEWS of Sunset from the rooms AND the amazing rooftop pool. As nice as the hotel is, the staff is top notch, friendly and truly committed to making sure guests enjoy their stay. We were greeted by our names by Dior at the front desk the second time we saw her, very friendly and had great suggestions for a restaurant. The neighborhood is great and fun and safe to walk. We look forward to a return visit to the Andaz.
Another memorable stay at my home away from home. Great location, fantastic service and well-appointed rooms. Big thx to John at the front desk for being a real champ who went above and beyond to help me with some difficult arrangements, making my stay very smooth. The rooms had little problems here and there, and sometimes the music and lights from outside would be a bit loud on the weekends, but the A-Team staff more than made up for these occasional lapses. Will keep going back to this property for sure!
Large rooms with plenty of space. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great blackout curtains. Sink sort of leaked water all over right side of bathroom counter and not great lighting, but still liked room. We didnt use any of the food/bar or amenities so I cant comment to service, and location depends on what you're doing, but the surrounding area was very nice.
The room is nice and clean.Andaz bills itself as a "Sleek hotel with a rooftop pool and dining". Half that sentence is a lie. The rooftop and pool are closed for renovations - it would've been nice to know when we booked. We only found out when we arrived. Super disappointing.
Wow what can I say just a great place. The staff is very attentive but not in an overbearing way at all. Oh my and the location is just great. Loved having the Comedy Store next door and a number of bars in walking distance.
Staff is friendly and helpful, but the rooms are dated. The 3rd floor is by the parking lot, which is noisy at night.I accidentally left a few nice belongings when I checked out, and staff were unable to locate them a day later. This did not meet my expectations of a Hyatt facility. You're paying for the location and not the hotel.
The staff here is amazing. They create such a lovely experience. From the event coordination down to the valet parking and housekeeping, each staff member is friendly and helpful. The bar has amazing drinks, the rooms are beautiful and the pool area has the loveliest views. It's in a great location ,there are so many restaurants and bars around if you want to mix things up. The beds are so comfortable and the suites are fantastic and the hotel has such an awesome history. If you want a great experience on the sunset strip be sure to stay at The Andaz.
