Disappointing hotel. Really hoped for something good.Room was nice, but curtains and shades not easy to close, and there was no turn down service. No water in the room except for an 11$ bottle that was the size of a coke can.I asked front desk for a bottle as i was going for a hike and they told me i could purchase one for $11. What 5star hotel doesn’t give guests water!!!???Food portions small and expensive. Breakfast service was slow, chaotic and got lots of reasons why the couldn’t do what I wanted. Simple omelette that every other5 star hotel can make. Asked them to toast my muffin. They didn’t.Will not come back hereSad!
Although we didn’t stay here, we were able to enjoy the facilities when our friends visited recently. The foyer in the bar area are very comfortable and our friends really enjoyed this day. You are very close to all the Hollywood action and the views are spectacular.
One of the best spaces I have ever stayed in. The 1 hotel always manage to create a great space with so much to see and do. From the gym to the pool and the restaurants. Everything was done with great thought and the he attention to details is amazing.
Such a great stay. I wanted to treat my husband to a relaxing night after a few days of tests/procedures at City of Hope. He was so happy with my choice -“whatever you paid for this, it was worth it.” The arrival was smooth, greeted by the signature 1Hotel scent in the lobby (iykyk). Front desk staff was nice and allowed us to hang by the pool while we waited for our room to be ready (we arrived super early). Plenty of seats at the pool with a beautiful view, our server was super friendly to boot. Our room was a very comfortable and serene space with a great bed. Bathroom was big with quality, delicious smelling products. We took advance of a ride from the house car to dinner. On return that night we were enchanted by the outdoor areas at night - there was a stunning overhead light installation that made the entire patio area magical. This spot is really so special and a luxurious green sanctuary in the midst of LA - we will be back when we can.
We had a wonderful time, it's a stunningly beautiful hotel. Wow. Not crazy busy at all, everything seemed so quiet and quaint despite the size of the hotel. Love the sustainability stance. Dania checked us in, and she was sooo sweet! Hospitable was an understatement. Love when the front desk team is nice. Food was great, though Harriet's Rooftop--the host to let us in (tall African-American guy)-was unnecessarily rude and trying to create unnecessary exclusivity, even after we said we are guests of the hotel. I thought those times were over. Anyway, once upstairs, the ambience was great.Rooms were very clean, products were perfect, bed-amazing, and views...stunning. Everyone at the hotel itself were sooo nice!! Oh and valet were all so nice! Long story short I highly recommend this hotel. Love all the 1 Hotels, and this one was exceptional.
The hotel was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and helpful it made me feel at home in a strange city! And I loved how clean everything seemed to be. I really enjoyed my two days vacation.
The services here is very bad, upon checking in no one gives you any guidance of which elevator to take, no introduction of what amenities and hours they are open. When checking out, no one asks about your experience, or politely hope you will come back. Overall, this place gives me a feeling that they don’t care about their random customers, or they only care about their frequent customers. The decoration and vibe are nice at this hotel, around 4.5 star, but service just barely a 2.5 star, staff needs more training. I don’t think I’ll choose to stay here anymore or recommend to my friend.
I’m having a hard time understanding some of the negative reviews of this hotel. I had nothing but an amazing experience. It was clean, felt luxurious and the staff was all nice and helpful. The vibe in the lobby matched the room and it was a great spot to stay. We originally ended up booking the Andaz down the road but left to come here and we were not disappointed. I will come back again.
The facilities of this hotel are gorgeous and they do a great job with maintenance. The real issue I had was not a single staff member being helpful. For the rate you pay for a night here, I'd hope someone would be useful or get answers. My stay ended almost 5 days ago and still nothing.
The service at 1 hotels Is always excellent. The food amazing, linens, amenities all goodHowever avoid booking the “studio suite” if you like natural light. The rooms, while cavernous in size are dark caves and noisy - they are on the “triangle” part of the building so only a small window.Otherwise the place is great but I’m claustrophobic so - checking out early.
