So they recently converted most of the seating in this restaurant to an Indonesian sundry store. Only three tables left. Mostly takeout now I suppose. Food is still amazing though.
Merry’s house of chicken is like mom’s cooking. Food was very tasty. I loved the vegetarian option. I was scared of the spice level but was well surprised that it was not spicy. You definitely have to taste Indonesian here.
The Indonesian items were in a good amount -- tea, spices (bumbu), flours, pondan, crackers, noodles, cakes - haven't tried their cooked food yet, however their prices are really good, $.25 - $.75 cheaper than another store I went to, and also, so much cheaper compared to the online store. The owner was pretty nice, and he said that next time I could contact them if I need to order online. That was a great idea -- however I had bought so much and filled my car already ?-- 1 year supplies here --
Stopped by here as I didn't want to stay in traffic on the 60 and came in for a quick snack/light dinner. The rissole and nasi bungkus didn't disappoint at all. Be prepared to get takeout since they have limited seating in the store and outside. Will def visit again!
Bought 4 chickens 1 nasi bungkus and pempek.... in busy sunday morning .. wow ,, fast , nice person behind the counter , bought more stuff $190 bucks ... good store... when u gonna open in seattle ? Washington haha
Specialized in Indonesian food run and own by Indonesian family who’s kind and friendly… business with a soul! Worth supporting. (Oct 2021 review) This place serves to-go food and dine-in no longer available. Did not try the food but bought peanut sauce and peanuts, all authentic from Indonesia… in fact all items are authentic Indonesian.
