Unique, tasty flavors. Big, juicy pieces of chicken. The spaghetti was good, and intentionally sweet. The gravy is like a mix between Church's and KFC, and the fries were similar to Jack-in-the-Box's back in 2000. The banana-langka and peach-mango pies were great, with the latter being my favorite.
Review is based on delivery, but wanted to share my review because there are some things definitely worth trying.Fried chicken is really pretty great. Even after a 40 min delivery time, chicken was still crispy. Spicy is definitely more flavorful than regular. Got the half/half this time, but will get all spicy from now on. Dipping the chicken in gravy was next level for me. Will have to be my new tradition, regardless of where I get my fried chicken from. The gravy on its own is fire! My favorite fried chicken is Krispy Krunchy, but I put Jollibee a close second with Popeye’s, Churches and Kentucky rounding out my top five, in that order.Chicken strips were also pretty good, but again dipping sauces were what elevated the dish. Creamy sriracha and gravy were great. Pineapple BBQ, not so much. Pro tip - when ordering on line, you can get extra dipping sauces, including the gravy for free so try a few like I did.Peach mango pie was ok. Will pass for $3+.The biggest disappointment were the fries. Soggy and bland. Thank goodness for the air fryer, but even after a few minutes, they were still soggy and bland.I should have gotten the mashed potatoes. At least it would have been an excuse to eat more gravy.
Filipino Spaghetti
If your childhood consists of spaghettiOs & frozen gravy mix this is your place! My gf enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich deluxe and I got spaghetti with 1 piece of chicken. The staff is good on giving recommendations but the food is Nothing special for the price it cost.
It's been awhile since I've eaten some chicken at Jollibee, so when I was driving home from work on Saturday, I decided to get off the jam packed 10 freeway Eastbound at the Baldwin Park exit and drove my way to the W. Covina shopping center. Parking in the afternoon wasn't that bad, even if I wished to park farther than normal. Large parking lot shared by other restaurants, a grocery store, clinic, and small shops. The North side of this shopping center was like a Filipino town with foods, bakery, grocery store, a parcel-shipping store, etc..all catetoring to the Filipino community which was excellent. I ordered the original 10 piece chicken bucket and two small cartons of gravy came with it. It was delicious. No social distancing inside Jolliebee. Customers wore their masks or not. Most employees wore masks. There were people who dined inside or just ordered for takeout. I believe there was a drive thru also. I didn't wait long for my meal to arrive. Some restaurants had signs posting employee shortages and now hiring, but that didn't stop me being patient with my order. The restaurant even gave me an electronic buzzer alert device, notifying me when my order was ready. Great for people who have a hard time hearing over a microphone saying that their order number was ready. I didn't see any outdoor seating arrangements.
The spaghetti and chicken in this shop are very delicious. There are many Asian stores around
The place is hard to see from the street, inside of a big and busy plaza. They don't serve breakfast anymore, so you can have a bucket of crispy and juicy fried chicken at 7 o'clock in the morning! LOLGood size leg and thigh with very crispy coating, yet still very juicy inside. You can do mix and match in a bucket and I love the little flag separated the spicy and regular pieces. Love the gravy too! Thought it's odd to eat it with gravy, but it's great (especially with spicy chicken). I wish I knew this place sooner! Strongly recommended if you are looking for good old fashioned fried chicken. (No, I don't like those honey glazed/saucy stuff.)Sadly found out today that the price raised again... Should've come last week! LOL
Spaghetti and gravy so goodChicken also juicy and crispyEven with the gravy sauce still crispy, good match
Yummy fried chicken ? too bad the spicy kind ran out. We ordered family deal and we really like the Adobo riceIt was delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant
Service was great. Staff super friendly and courteous. Food was fast and hot (not warm like it was sitting on the warmer all day like other fast food restaurants) a bit pricey but not bad to splurge once in a while
