I literally got food poisoning from this place the other day and spent the night throwing my guts up. I will never eat there again.Update: Sent my information to the email address provided to me and have yet to hear back and it has been almost a week since sending the email.
Despite having no reservation and two groups of seven people, we were seated within five minutes. The service was great and the staff were on top of refilling drinks. The service was great and we had extra sauces and to go boxes for some of our food. My only complaint would be the lack of paper menus since only one of us were scan the QR code on the table to access the digital menu.
I didn't think it was possible to be so impressed with a hot dog, but I am. Islands Restaurant West Covina is delicious, inexpensive, and the customer service is terrific. I love how the gentlemen who took my order, was patient and explained the menu options, as it was my first time.
I totally recommend the all-you-can-eat tortilla soup. Delicious!Been back here many many many times, I always get the same thing.
My boyfriend and I came here for a meal on Sunday January 30th around 6pm and had a burger and sliders. Later that night we suffered horrible symptoms of food poisoning. We are sure it was from their meat because it tasted funny and earlier that day we shared a meal with friends that had no symptoms the only difference is we went to Islands restaurant. We have had horrible symptoms of nausea, diarrhea, vomiting for two days now it has been going on. We have had to stay home from work our symptoms have been so bad, and when further looking at the Yelp two other customers experienced the same thing the same night we went. When I called Islands to report this the supervisor said that the time frame in which we experienced our symptoms are not congruent with food poisoning and had the audacity to say this has NEVER happened at our location, but when looking at Yelp there are reviewers that got food poisoning months before as well. I'm also a healthcare worker and also went to urgent care to get my symptoms check out so I know for sure it was a food borne illness from their uncooked meat. Very upsetting experience, even more upsetting that the supervisor blew it off and said that it's not from their restaurant. I will never be coming back to any islands location and I would be very very cautious of any food you are ordering there.
My turkey burger lacked zest. Wait was long to get seated with lots of open tables. Clearly they must be understaffed.
My first time here and was totally swept away with the amazing service from our server Selena. I have food allergies and she took care of it all, also checked into details, which is amazing and very important when you have food allergies. Now to the restaurant...Very clean and cozy. Easy to place your order by scanning a QR code at the table. We tried two burgers, one with teriyaki/pineapple and one with jalapeño/black pepper covered patty. Pineapple was a bit bland, but the one with jalapeño was amazing. Simply perfect.Try the truffle fries, they are to die for! Over all, a great experience!
Delicious food and great service! This was my family's first meal in a restaurant since the pandemic began, and honestly, the staff here made it such a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

SOOO GOOD!! I’ve been going here forever and they never fail me with the friendly service and amazing food, and clean restaurant! The CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP IS REALLY GOOD, ALONG WITH THE TENDERS AND FRIES! The desserts are delicious, I will always come here to eat at a good restaurant!! 10/10 recommend!
