This used to be our best family restaurant, but everything has changed drastically. Prices skyrocketed! Always short on staff. Waiters are not happy working there. They take long to bring your food. I order Carme a la mexicana and it was mostly soak in water barely any meat. They changed my order to a la carte just because I didn’t want rice and beans and ended up paying more for less food. They didn’t even let me know that they were changing my order just to charge me more. They should let the customer know of any changes before they bring the food out. Paid $24 for bistec in water. Not good. The only good thing is the hand made tortillas other then that I don’t recommend this place anymore.
5 star customer serviceBut the food was to greasy for me. I had chilaquiles with mole and eggs on top. I ordered beef pozole. Took one spoon of it that was it. Don't finish it at all.Sorry to say it. It was my first time there and it was my last time there.
The food was good and hand made tortillas were great, but that's as good as it got the wait to eat here is not worth it also they are either horribly under staffed or only have beginner staff we were sat in the middle isle towards the back and saw 3 other groups of people be asked for drinks and there food before us, they only realized we were here when I stood up and waved 2 waitresses down, if your hungry or in a rush and truly don't care about bad service then come here but if those things are important to you go some where else the food is not worth the wait
Although the food is great the thing that threw me off was that they are no prices on the menu and they need more waiters from my point of view. They were approachable but they seem to need a few more. There’s seems to be a lot of them who don’t want to serve/ take tables and keep pushing tables at each other ??♀️ Overall it’s my own opinion from what I’ve seen

Needs more cleaninless and better customer service. I had to replace my cup of water 2x because both cups were not washed at all it looked like they were reused l. The 2nd cup had mens facial face hair inside it. Male managar confirm it. Didnt even apologized. If it was up to me I would've left but the rest of the people wanted to stay. It was disgusting to see this. Became full don't leave tip on top of the suggested gratitude percentage that is charged on top of your bill. We ended up leaving double big tips. But that's our fault. Napkins weren't offer until we requested 2x. I would not be returning.
New to W. Covina tried Hacienda Diaz 1st time breakfast was good. Ordered Chilaqueles was charged 2.00 for eggs nice lady walking around offering pan dulce 2.75 for the pan ordered coffee 3.95. Breakfast for two 46 and change I did order a mimosa for 6.95 . Food was good I've never been charged extra for eggs with my chilqueles and I thought they over charged for the pan dulce. Service was good I left a 10.00 tip.
The food was good, we ordered birria en caldo but unfortunately the amount of meat was very limited, it was mostly broth with some pieces of meat and fat floating around . I ordered a plate of birria for my son without broth with rice and beans and compared to other restaurants it was a light amount of meat. He wasn’t satisfied. We wont be coming back.

It was a good place! The “aesthetic” or theme of it is really nice and authentic. Service was good, would rate this place 10/10 would recommend and come again!! The waitresses were nice and helpful, Good vibes, good food?I got the pancakes, egg and hashbrown. It was good and will come again in future?
