THIEVES!!! I ordered take out on several occasions and began to notice that they have been charging me a 20 percent tip without my knowledge! I have nothing against tipping when you are dining in, but this is pick up. And by forcing a tip they are stealing from me.

Went tonight (Tuesday night) it was slow but the service was fast. Very clean and cutely decorated. When it comes to the food though, it's why I'm giving this place 3 stars, Miso soup had a bit too much salt in it, my son's beef teriyaki came out hot (which is good) but my chicken came warm, almost cold. Same with the tempera, not really good overall. I'll come again because maybe I caught them on a bad night and I'll change my rating accordingly.
The food was good, service was good... but as a non smoker and a chef it was so gross seeing the sushi chef walk right out front (watched thru the window we were seated by) and smoke a cigarette, throw it on ground outside door and think nothing of it as he went back to work (I can only assume he washed is hands).
They made me the wrong roll on my take-out order. The roll I got was totally different it was deep fried and I hate fried sushi! I wasn't gonna come back to get it fixed I live in Salinas. I don't know how sushi chefs can get their rolls mixed up....never again!
Lots of food. Pretty tasty sashimi and teriyaki. Service was unimpressive.
Great Japanese Food! We got there Mountain Roll and the Poke Salad for a quick lunch. The service was good. The Mountain rolls hit you with multiple delicious flavors of salty and savory. The poke Salad tasted amazing! Some of the best salad I’ve ever had. Overall Amazing food and some of the best Japanese food in Watsonville!
Charged7$for the free hot green tea.would not honor birth day certificate that came out on Thursday last week good until November. Wow!
I honestly don't know why this place has 4 stars, usually Google reviews are spot on. I'd like to say that this isn't my first time trying this place. Its been about two years since my last visit, despite that I'd say the service and food are the same.1. Everything on the menu was an 86 item no uni, no quail, no oysters, no inaki. No they dont make garlic edamame. Everything was a no despite the hand written daily specials they have advertised on their specials board. The response was we dont have a shipment (sounds like poor management to me)2. The server was rude and acted like she didn't want to be there.3. The miso soup tastes old4. The place altogether could use some.deep cleaning especially post COVID.Needless to say I've been to this place 3 separate occasions and each time the food and service was terrible. For a place charging $14- $16/roll you can get better food and service elsewhere.
The food is tasty, but the wait is a bit ridiculous. If I remember correctly we came in at 12:30 wasn't able to order fill around 1, and didn't get our food till approximately 1:30. Love the sushi and tempura but the wait is a bit extreme, don't come if your really hungry or starving.
