The. Best. Tacos. I’ve ever had. This place is legit! We waited over an hour for the tacos, mid day, mid week, but it was sooo worth it. This is a place where locals and “in the know”gringos go. The hours are sporadic, but I believe it’s due to only being open when they get fresh meat/fish and they are only open until they run out of food The tacos are HUGE and come with all kinds of fixings (salsas, crema, toppings, etc). We ordered 8 tacos, 2 lemonades and a coke all for $25 USD! We couldn’t even eat it all so we saved some for dinner :) Do yourself a favor and stop here if in Loreto or just passing through.

As always, tacos are to die for. The saying, “ eat where the locals do” is never more true than here! Currently only open for take-out or “curb dining”! Their little dine-in area was closed off.
After a so-so meal yesterday the fish tacos at El Rey Del Taco provided the fix we craved. Eat in or take away (we took ours to go back to the boat) you are in for a treat. Flakey fried fish on a corn or flour tortilla plus we were sent off with pico, salsa, a avocado salsa, shredded cabbage and grilled onions and peppers. Generous fish portions make it a great deal. We had 6 tacos total with all the fixings’ mentioned for the equivalent of $15 USD. He also serves carnitas if you are not in the mood for fish as well as chicken. Open hours are hit and miss but keep trying. You know they are open when you see the line of locals.

Simply hands down the best taco in town. Only open if they have fresh sea bass and along with an orange agua fresca you will be talking about your taco for days ! I like the flour tortilla piled high with grilled chili’s and freshly fried fish Baja Style. Amazing !
